Villa Seceda — Hotel in Salten-Schlern - Salto-Sciliar

We stayed here 9 days to do some hiking in the mountains. The location was perfect. Everything we needed was within walking distance. Villa Seceda is situated behind 2 buildings off the main street, which is good because they block any street noise, but yet it's only a 3 minute walk to major bus stops, restaurants and shopping. It's also very easy to walk to trails and lifts that take you further up the mountains.||||This is a small family run hotel and the owners are very accommodating and friendly. There are 6 rooms total, 2 on 2nd floor and 4 on the 3rd. There is no lift so you'll need to carry your luggage up the stairs, which was no problem for us. We stayed on the 3rd floor in #5, a corner room with a small balcony. The room felt very spacious with plenty of closet space and hooks to hang clothes, etc. It was charmingly decorated in a Tyrolean style with warm colors and there was a small sitting area, which was nice since we had a few rainy days when we spent time indoors. We had a great view of the mountain from our balcony! The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was big, clean and modern. Everything was very clean and fresh feeling. The internet worked good most of the time. It's amazing to me you can even get internet there since it's so far up in the mountains. || ||The breakfast was perfect for us: Juice, coffee, yogurt, muesli, fruit, eggs, bread, cheese, sliced meats, sweets. This small guesthouse with only 6 rooms stands out for its cleanliness, cosiness and excellent service. Charming wood panelling, sufficient wardrobes, underfloor heating and modern bathroom. This is all of the finest. The W-LAN availability is very good. All rooms with flat screen and TV in HD quality. ||Some rooms may have sounds from the early morning delivery to the supermarket. Is bearable, one should only know.||The breakfast is more than sufficient, everything in relation to the size of the house: cereals, rolls, sausage, cheese, etc. and fresh egg. A house where you don't have to ask for more coffee because the coffee pot is big enough. The boss always has something special, whether it's a yoghurt with fresh raspberries or an apple strudel. ||In the house you can also get drinks at reasonable prices. Of course you can also go to the supermarket next door. The location is very central near the big market. The gondola can be reached in 5-10 minutes and you can also take the ski bus. Lovely bed and breakfast in a central position of the town. Decorated very tastefully in local style. We stayed in room number 5 giving us a good view of the mountains and town. It was spacious with a lovely ensuite bathroom.||The owner was very welcoming and willing to offer advice about places to visit and where to eat etc - We were there towards the end of October and many restaurants and shops are closed for the season.
