first 2 nights of our Italy trip. We chose to stay in Scala as it was a little cheaper than the down on the coast. ||The B&B is in walking distance of the coast, but if you're not up to walking up many, many steps then the bus or a taxi. We walked from the ferry to the B&B complete with two big rucksacks, and while it was slightly hard work we enjoyed the exercise.||While basic, the B&B was clean, easily accessible and offered a good breakfast (not cooked as i believe there are italian laws of some sort which restrict this depending on the type of accommodation?)||||On the buses from Amalfi to Scala; we didnt have the best of experiences in catching a reliable service back to the B&B. The roads are very tight, traffic crawls and the buses tended to be hit and miss in our experience. This results in a mad crush of people trying to get on the buses when one does eventually arrive....all part of the fun though i suppose.||||There was a kitchenette in the room which you may see on photos, there was no gas turned on and no cutlery either so be sure to either ask if this is available, or assume it isn't. The B&B did not advertise the fact that there was cooking facilities so we were not expecting there to be any.||||I would recommend the B&B. Scala is beautiful, but if your'e staying here as a cheaper alternative to the Amalfi that i wouldnt recommend doing so if you're shy of walking a few...
Read moreRianna Rooms is the best place to stay in Scala, and if you want to go to Amalfi Coast. The breakfast was one of the best parts of our stay! On the first day eating breakfast there, the host gave us 3 or 4 croissants stuffed with Nutella and drizled with sugar powder! Delicious!!! Also, he gave us more if we needed more, and asked us if we would want some coffee. The other best part is when we were going to Amalfi Coast and going to Positano. The host helped us so much!!! He told us how to get there, and how to come back. We were also lucky because we went to Amalfi Coast in his shuttle! He was so kind, that he was answering any questions we had. The bedroom was AMAZING! The bed was comfy, the bathrooms were good, and the view from the terrace was excellent! We could see the whole Scala from there. Also, when we were going to Rome by train, he told us some timings of the train, how to get there, and even got a driver to get us to the train station. I would come here again! I would definitely recommend this b&b to everyone planning a...
Read moreOur Family (with 3 kids) hosted at Rianna Rooms for a vacation along with an other friend family, The rooms themselves are reasonable (don't expect fancy room). very clean and very comfortable, with nice view to the sea. The great surprise was our host Jan Lucca and his family. they went all the way to make our visit fantastic, we enjoyed a lot the family attitude, recommendation of were to go, events in the area etc.. The food at breakfast was good, they will arrange you special food if you ask (for us omelet and vegetables). Even a greater surprise was the restaurant (I don't remember its name) at evening: tasty home made local food, low prices, simply don't need to look around for other (expensive and disappointing) places to eat. We will defiantly recommend it to our friends who will like to...
