Da Nono Alfonso in beautiful Ravello!
Nestled in the charming town of Ravello, Da Nono Alfonso is a true gem of a pizzeria. From the moment we stepped inside, we were enveloped in a wonderful atmosphere – the perfect setting to enjoy a delicious Italian meal. We had the pleasure of sampling their pizza, pasta, bruschetta, and the delightful tiramisu and ricotta for dessert, and I can honestly say that every single dish was a standout. The pizza boasted a perfectly crisp crust, while the pasta was cooked al dente with a rich and satisfying sauce. The bruschetta was a fresh and vibrant start to our meal, and both the tiramisu and ricotta offered a sweet and satisfying finish. Beyond the exceptional food, the service was truly top-notch. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome and well-cared for throughout our visit. The overall environment of Da Nono Alfonso was also amazing, contributing to a truly memorable dining experience. If you find yourself in Ravello and are craving authentic and delicious Italian cuisine served with a smile in a wonderful setting, look no further than Da Nono Alfonso. We can't...
Read moreWow, what a gem of a restaurant - so much more than your regular pizzeria. Lots of appetizers and pizzas to choose from, plus a comprehensive selection of drinks. The food we finally decided on (including the special of gnocchi) were outstanding...made with fresh, high quality ingredients. Our gourmet pizzas had crusts that were perfectly cooked and very light. Owners Margarita and Roberta are wonderful hosts - friendly, patient, and attentive. Margarita explained what is involved in their pizza school which includes olive oil and wine tasting - it sounds like this would be a fun way to spend a few hours. Off the beaten track, tourists are unlikely to walk past Da Nonno Alfonso, but it's absolutely worth looking up this great restaurant and they are only a few minutes stroll from the main streets of Ravello. Perfect for Canadians and Americans who like to eat earlier in the day, this restaurant is open right through the Ravello afternoon siesta! We actually ate at 5pm for a change! We are Ravello regulars and will definitely be back at Da Nonno Alfonso soon, and recommending this spot to our family...
Read moreA wonderful place for a meal if you are in Ravello or Scala. We had arrived at the moment when almost all the tables were reserved. But we were lucky to take the last free table. Therefore, if you plan to visit this place one of the evenings in the season, I would advise you to reserve a table in advance.
There was a full reservation and the staff, apparently, did not expect this, but at the same time worked as professionally as possible. We were warned that the preparation of the pizza could take more time (about 20 minutes) and asked if it was acceptable for us. In fact, twenty minutes is not that long to wait (even for pizza), besides, the wait was worth it. Pizza was really luscious. For the first time I decided to try zucchini pizza, even though I am not a big fan of this vegetable, the pizza turned out to be wonderful: dough, filling - everything.
Desserts are also delicious. It is moderately sweet, the taste is pleasant, nothing blocks or clogs the taste receptors.
The staff is very friendly, pleasant...
