This hotel has not been upgraded in a very long time. There was mould all over the walls, ceilings, aircon units. The doors were flimzy. Aircon constantly didn't work and we all complained at reception. Mattresses are soft and thin. My remote was full of food. The pool was green, not from the 'colour of the tile' but from the dirt on the tiles so we could not get in it with the heatwave. The hotel was full and nobody got in! That says it all! The hotel taxi was not always available within the times that were given to us, usually at night! My brothers room was mouldier than mine 🫤. There was a beautiful view for breakfast. But even the parasol rope broke from being so old when I tried to put it up. The pictures on their site are clearly from when it first opened, you'll get a shock when you get there. They don't put any money into the maintenance of this place. I wouldn't recommend this place. Especially if you're not fit, cause you'll be walking up steep hills when you can't get a taxi.

Don't be fooled by the photos on the website the room we were offered was small and very dated the light on the ceiling was hanging off and the balcony tiny. The bathroom was terrible it smelt and the shower was practically over the toilet. Even though it was almost 30 degrees the air-conditioning was not being turned on untill 15th June, 6 days into our stay. When we spoke to reception the guy there shrugged and said open a window. We moved hotels to the San Michele way way better hotel.

Where do i start !! Arranged with hotel for transfers to Loreley, but they did not turn up.arrived early hours of the 6.06.2023, was told it was up the side of a hill side. i am a disabled lady. and was made to walk a few miles up the side of the hill taking me a few hours to achieve, which left me in great agonizing pain.the next morning noticed bidet and toilet coming away from the wall. room was not clean, bare exposed wired poking out from a lamp in room which in it's self is a fire hazard. and lamp thick of dust. and i have an allergy to dust. had a word about these issues with the dreaded carmen. head of reception, she told me she would move me to a better room. this however did not happen. i am an elderly and vulnerable lady in a country i have never visited before, and was inundated with calls to my room, of a sexual nature.Prices in hotel are extortionate. you pay 4 euro for a small bottle of pop.and there is a charge cos bar man served you.If you have a problem at this hotel. then you become the problem. A couple above me hung soaking wet swim wear from balcony which dripped onto my balcony and i slipped and almost broke my back.again a hazard !!When i pointed this out to Carmen she replied arghh and walked away.Carmen and other staff seen smoking through out the day while working. There is no fridge in rooms, no meals apart from breakfast and snacks are served. so you have to walk some miles to the nearest restaurant.i found a lovely taverna named Pasquales near mini market which served the most wonderful food and wine at remarkably cheap and reasonable prices. a god send in deed.No music at hotel. it's like a morgue this place no animation team and no entertainment. pillows stink to high heaven. and do not have pillw protectors on them.To say that this hotel have been awkward with me is an understatment. they have been very rude especially the miserable bald head man at reception. who constantly told me i have to walk every where with out shuttle car. I am disabled and in a wheel chair. No hot water in rooms. So have not felt clean since arriving here.No toilet cleaner used in toilet.but cross contamination. watched cleaners at work. washed sink then bidet inside and out then toilet and seat then with same cloth wiped the sink again. and cleaned air con which was full of dust and dirt on the bed mattress, and patted it into mattress with her hand. This a very noisey hotel. doors slamming a donkey eeoring all night dogs barking and kids playing football hitting a tin roof.Bigest hazard is the wet room as you have to sit on toilet to shower and the floor is very slippy i asked for a rubber mat and was refused. Not treat very well as a disabled guest at all !!This is a terrible hotel be warned do not go there.I bought hydro shuttle ferry ticket and booked taxi. was suppose to check out of room at 5pm but checked out at 11-15 am at 12-05 noon i asked bald reception man what time is someone taking me down in shuttle buggy to my taxi. HE SHOUTED THEY STOP RUNNING AT 12 NOON SO YOU HAD BETTER START RUNNING DOWN THE HILL WITH YOUR CASES AS YOU WILL MISS YOUR TAXI. I said you have watched me sit over there for over an hour why did you not say something. He said tough luck !! 1 of the staff did take me. and i was very glad to be out of the hotel. place from hell, needs so much work doing to it. and the staff are very rude in deed. all good reviews are given by italian people. maid climbed balcony and peered into my room while i was sleeping shouting do you want room clean today. cheeky and insulent people and...

I read a few reviews before booking this hotel, and decided to take a risk. I think the reviews I read were pretty accurate, so|I would like to add my| experience in case it helps. The hotel is very pretty and exceeded| my expectations in| decor and ambience.| Good points - pool area and outside bar|/cafe is very pretty. The top terrace where breakfast is served has panoramic views over the bay. Breakfast is| plentiful and fresh, if a little repetitive. Hotel areas are spotlessly| clean, as are bedrooms. Linen is| changed regularly. Fresh fluffy clean towels are provided| every day. Electric car service is excelkent, although we (my daughter and I) often chose to walk. Bad points - Reception staff and some other staff are often grumpy. They're fine when you arrive, but further questions and help is far too much trouble. Exceptions are the friendly main bar man and the lovely lady in charge of breakfast. I warned thembefore coming that I was GF. They had no bread for me for the first lunch and breakfast, then got some in which lasted 3 days; despite daily promises of it arriving 'later' or 'tomorrow' no more ever materialised. I even supplied them with some GF bread from a restaurant for my packed breakfast on the last motning, as didn't trust that they would sort it. All in all we enjoyed our stay, but I wouldn't return to Loreley, as there's too many places where you'd get treated better as a customer. One final word - as stipulated by others, the area isbeatiful with panoramic views, but is not suitable for disabled, infirm/elderly, as the town/streets are very steep and there isvirtually no flat walking. I would recommend walking over the mountain to Maronti Beach (as well as taking the wayer taxi) as it's stunning, and you also pass some amazing thermal caves. One last word, the hotel did organise our transport too and from Naples airport. It's quite complicated with two taxis, the ferry and the electric car each way, but all ran...

Sant’ Angelo is a beautiful location with great restaurants & shops. Hotel Loreley is terrible….firstly the reception staff:- in particular Carmen from day 1 was extremely unhelpful, aggressive & had an arrogant & unapproachable manner.. I spoke some Italian & the rude manner in which Carmen responded was not acceptable. The Shuttle timetable was not focused on the customer’s requirements & revolved around battery charging & did not operate much during the day ie. 9a -1030a & 12p - 2p . Unfortunately it was difficult to get down to the main area of Sant’ Angelo without a shuttle due to the steepness of the road & the heat . The rooms were very very basic the hotel is in desperate need of repair & it is overpriced. Breakfast & lunch were good. Water was barely tepid in shower (every day) , air conditioning awful & did not work well . There was no information in the room to advise anyone they cannot drink the water etc. Additionally it’s impossible to get your luggage up & down the road without a shuttle , the hotel did not advise us of this …(it’s not on the website) therefore we had to pay for someone to assist us. The Loreley Staff which we found good were Joshua , Mimmo, Fabio & the breakfast staff. But beware of the angry Carmen ( day time ) & the afternoon manager (tall & bald whom I don’t know the name of ) was helpful on arrival , however very rude when I asked him to make a reservation at a restaurant he had recommended… promised to do it & went & hid in his office when I attempting to confirm whether he had . I would definitely come back to Ischia & Sant Angela , but I do not recommend staying at the...
