I'm not sure where to start here because there were so many things wrong about this stay..||||We booked a triple room with a balcony 4 months in advance only to be told 1 week before the stay that " i am sorry but we don't have triple rooms with balcony just double rooms." After we objected to their suggestion that they move us to a ground floor room, they then tried making us move to another hotel just for our first night (!). After we objected to this they somehow managed to find us a triple room with a balcony (i.e. what we had originally booked) but only for 2 nights and we had to move for the third night to a smaller room on the top floor which seemed to be a storage area for the hotel. ||||The worst thing about it was that when we started speaking to the staff and explaining how inconvenient this all was, they started to tell us that we should be grateful because we "booked a room which is usually 3 times the price" (just because we took the risk and booked 4 months in advance we apparently should be thankful!) and they did their best to accommodate us. On top of it all one older female member of staff / management started to insult us in Italian not realising that we also understand Italian! ||||Contrary to its name, the hotel was clearly past its prime and the staff rude and unsympathetic. Their offer to apologise of a free meal at the restaurant (which we did not take) was nowhere near worth the hassle of having to move rooms on the penultimate morning of our 3 night stay. After we left they simply stopped replying to our messages which underscores their "stellar" service. ||||All in all the hotel needs to carefully consider how they treat their guests in the future and make sure that if they have double booked or for whatever reason they need to move the guests to another room due to no fault of the guests then they need to compensate them appropriately for the massive...
Read moreWe arrived on Monday September 21st 2015 for a two night stay at what started out as a wonderful experience. The hotel is very spacious and the rooms are very comfortable. We were booked for 50 euro per night. Our party went from 1 person to 3 people, and we called 3 days prior to confirm, were told to come in and everything would be worked out. When we arrived on Monday we confirmed the price of the room VERY SPECIFICALLY. Upon checkout we were charged DOUBLE for the room. The Owner was there and even went as far as to say that the woman working when we checked in was "unable to see" that there were three people checking in, even though we squeezed into the elevator with her, went up to a very large room, were surprised at the value so again qwe asked if this was 50 euro and again we were told it was. There was no language barrier, the owener tried to say the woman didn't speak good english, when we explained what had happened the woman simply shook her head saying "NO, NO, NO"...She had no interest in providing any service and refused to listen to us! She "gave us a discount" by charging us 80 euro more than the confirmed price! This woman should be ashamed of her lack of service, NEVER have I had this happen before and I hope NO ONE Ever SUPPORTS THIS WOMAN AND HER LIES...I am a business owner myself, and if my employees made a mistake it is my responsibility to handle that, not the customer. We were LIED TO, and felt VERY THREATENED by this woman. Very strange and erratic behavior by someone who is supposed to be providing something in the...
Read moreWOW! We’re guests for a couple weeks at a nice hotel in Forte dei Marmi, raining now so I wanted to go out to dinner at 8:30, outside gates all locked, locked trying to get back in. No one in dark lobby so knocked on door. Guy came and SHOUTED at me for trying to break the door.? Then went on an INSANE rant when saying constantly “shut up, I break your face” I think most of you know the 75yr old me, probably repeated “shut up I break your face”. Note to world, avoid Hotel La Primula!!! We were here for long stretch but checking out tomorrow!!! Wow,...
