Tellus Saturnia — Hotel in Unione di Comuni Montani Colline del Fiora

Pleasant reception - Monica was very nice. She made a dinner reservation for us in advance as I had requested. Upon arrival she offered us local information. Room 203 is a nice big room on the first floor (up one big flight of stairs) with a large bathroom. It's was clean, modern and functional but no real charm. The 'view' looked right into the brick wall of the neighbouring building. Good towels and linens. Good shower and water pressure. Good daily house keeping. A/C, mini-fridge, room safe. Free parking right in the back. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. ||||The Tellus breakfast buffet was excellent with meats, cheeses, tomatoes, bread, croissants, cakes, yogurt, fresh, fruit, cereal, juices, hot beverages – and good & pleasant service. Wow. What a pleasant surprise. We've been coming to Saturnia to go to the hot springs for several years now, and have always stayed at one or another of the other hotels in the area. This year everywhere was booked, so I scouted around and found Tellus Hotel. We couldn't be happier here, and the experience is a grand improvement on the other establishments. This will be our Saturnia hotel for future visits, for sure. Okay, it's not luxurious in the classical sense, but boy, is it clean and comfortable, and right in the center of this little town. The owner is charming, the parking is superb, the WiFi is great, the shower water is hot and abundant, and all of the fixtures work perfectly.
