Appalling. We were two people for lunch. We ordered: Papardelle Al Cinghiale (Wild Boar Pappardelle) and Ravioli. The boar meat tasted like cooked with stock cubes (powder) and, for the ravioli they put 8 pieces on the plate. About the wine... Here comes the cheeky part of the story... We ordered two wines. The "waiter" (owner of the restaurant), came with a bottle almost empty. He didn't show the label of the wine bottle and filled the two glasses of wine. As it didn't have "enough" wine, he opened another one and poured the new wine into the glasses mixing it with the old wine that was in the glass already. A couple of minutes after he left, I called him to ask what was the wine he had served and he showed it to me on the menu. A few minutes later, we ordered one more glass of wine. He came back with a bottle almost empty and poured it in the glass. Then I asked him why was he serving the wine from an almost empty bottle, and he replied: "there is one more table I am serving and also the people in the kitchen drinks wine. This is a restaurant and not a pizzeria". CHEEKY!!! SHAMELESS!!! The other table had a bottle on the table. Any restaurant would show the label of the bottle before serving. And any pizzeria would ask "what wine would you like?" (not like you did!!). And about the water... When I asked why was he charging the water, he said it was mineral water. Then I said it was a refilled bottle from the tap. He replied it was coming from a mineral water bottle. Again: CHEEKY!!! SHAMELESS!! ANY "GOOD" RESTAURANT WOULD TAKE A "NON OPEN BOTTLE" TO THE TABLE, WOULD OPEN IT IN PRESENCE OF THE CUSTOMER AND WOULD POUR IT IN THE GLASS. YOU ARE THE WORST THING I'VE EVER HAD. ANY PIZZA PLACE IS BETTER THAN YOU. ALL THIS IS WITHOUT TALKING ABOUT THE PRICE YOU CHARGED PER GLASS OF WINE... You take advantage from the fact there aren't many places around open. The place in the lower floor was closed (because it was its off day -wednesday-). I'll be around here for some days, and believe me I'll make sure to tell everyone about my experience there. SHAMELESS and...
Read moreOur last dinner in Italy and it was the best one of all the restaurants, that we have been! Service was impeccable especially from the head waiter, unfortanetly we didn't get his name. All the staff were friendly and professional. Our experience at this restaurant was impressive. The head waiter knew a lot about all the wines, so if you are a wine lover this is the place for you. The variety of bread was fresh and deliciously paired with the amouse bouche that was offered on the house. I ordered braised beef cheek and my partner ordered pork, both our main courses were delicious with a lot of flavours and tender! We certainly recommend this restaurant of you are visiting Saturnia. The ambience is quiet and romantic, they have outdoor area as well as indoor. We recommend that you book before not to be...
Read moreThe perfect restaurant for us. Firstly, every dish we had was incredible. The steak with truffle, the pasta, the deserts, all wow, amazing ! Service is slow, which is actually great and perfectly timed which makes the experience. Couldn’t ask for better service. The atmosphere is romantic, smart but very casual, great for romance but also for families. This is the best resto experience we’ve had for at least a year. We went there on the first night after enjoying the hot springs all day and it was so good that we went again for our second and last night in Saturnia. It’ll be the first place we go when we return. Make sure to book as it can get busy and I recommend a table inside as the atmosphere is definitely better. Thank you,...
