I came from  with 2 other girlfriends. To resume, great Spa, cost performance for staying the full day, but the service is not good as not enough stuffs for the amount of people that visit the location. It can be better.
Let me explain:
The restaurant itself is not bad, but not excellent either. Decent food and if you want to choose, choose the fish dishes as Atami is famous for their fish.
The Spa is Â¥3200 for adults day time and after 5pm it gets VERY crowded as the price goes down to Â¥2150 including towels, room clothes the bag to carry and the price to have a bath in the âfamous ocean view onsenâ !
I do recommend you to go in the morning as much less crowded for the experience as you. An do a lot of different massages, scrubbing , chill , Hot stones relaxation, saunas etc. Oui can stay here ALL DAY!
They give you a wrist band that allows you to go and pay dressed in the spa clothes so practical but you might wait A LOT (1-2h ) if tou go between 8-9pm. Watch out !
The staffs are young and inexperienced but nice.
The food was ok but the fish was good. The onsen wasnât too hot ð¥µand I truly recommend the emailing view of the ROTENBURO (hot spring outside )
Unfortunately you can FORGET to go there if you have ANY tattoo as they will not allow you in.
They have a bit too many rules and that is really a negative point for me but itâs a good place to chill.
Also if you purchase in advance online you can get discount tickets on Asoview. Check it out.
It closes at 10pm and they have a bus that goes from the Atami station back and forth. The last bus is at 10:20 and last Shinkansen you need to check !
If you walk from the Atami station to Fuua is about 29min !...
Read moreAt first I was taken aback by the price. At over 3000 yen it's comparable to the mega sentos in Tokyo and this place is a lot smaller. However it definitely could be a special experience if you come at the right time. Setup is very standard for a super sento: you get your wristband, change and put everything in the locker, enjoy the facilities, pay when you leave. All amenities are provided.
First, this place is famous for the "infinity bath" where you get to hang out on an onsen-balcony. Unfortunately it seems, at least for the men's side, that the edge faces north so you get neither a great sunrise nor sunset view from there. It's also quite narrow and this place gets a lot of daytrippers shuttle bussed in straight from Atami Station so it can get quite crowded. It's still quite amazing though.
What really sets this place apart is the rest/lounge area. Not only is it quite large at taking up two floors, but there's a serious variety of seating. There are recliners, a bed-hammock, sofa pits sunk into the floor, a very interesting sauna, all facing a bayside view. There's also a big game room with ping pong, pinball, board games, etc. Great if you're a family or...

I'd give it 5 stars if not for the following 2 reasons:
1 - Staff should be telling some customers to respect others and not make a lot of noise. There were a lot of young men (teens/early 20s) going around in groups making a lot of noise and many on phones with sound on. Also taking photos where they shouldn't be. Nothing terrible, just getting too close to others at times with the camera.
2 - The food was very disappointing, and expensive. Limited menu and quality was poor. But we found limited choices in the town overall for dinner mid-week so chose to eat lunch and dinner there for convenience.
Other than those 2 points, the place is great, and fantastic value. We spent about 10 hrs there after a few busy days left our legs and feet tired and sore. Left feeling very refreshed.
Most instructions are in Japanese only so may be a little difficult for those without it but I didn't find it to be a major issue. Still good to know...
