Me and y family stayed at the Hotel Onoya for 3 days and 2nights during the summer holidays. Actually this was our 2nd time since we like the experience. The food was very good and have lots of variety specially during dinner. The package includes buffet dinner and breakfast. There are different onsen rooms to choose from. There was this classic roman times design. My kids love the pool so much that we spend hours and hours. There are also karaoke rooms, a game center and a play area which my 4 year old boy enjoyed. The beach is just few minutes away from the hotel. There is also a ropeway nearby that leads to the Atami castle and this trick art museum. Itinerary promised a "Ryokan experience" at Hotel Ohnoya, and so it was - for those who were couples, or sharing a room - large tatami-floored sitting area, separate toilet and shower, separate bedroom. For those who paid the Single Supplement, ie more than anyone else, it was a 3m x 2m "broom cupboard"! No room for toiletries or clothes in the 1m sq modular bathroom - they had to go on the floor outside the door. No cupboard, no bedside table or light, basic single bed,ot even an extra pillow. As the hotel was fully booked, no hope of any change. Did not in any way compare with the accommodation provided in every other hotel we stayed in...
