We only stayed 1 night but it was a good one! ||We stayed at 3F and the front view was the mountainous ranges with greenery. Opened the door and we are greeted by traditional Japanese-style bedding in a straw mat room. The small balcony opens up to another great view of vast greenery with mountain ranges as the background! Within sight at the ground level is a beautifully craved Japanese-style garden!|The region and the hotel, is famous for hot spring of Yamanashi. Including the largest rock bath in the prefecture. Indeed I went to enjoy the different hot springs such as garden open-air baths and (indoor) observation baths twice that evening.|A ryokan style and there are Yukata at hotel lobby so remember to collect them first.||We had both dinner and morning breakfast at the Dining Hall, large & spacious. Good variety of Japanese & western fare, mainly seasonal and local dishes such as houtou (Yamanashi's local noodle dish).. Many were delicious dishes that made use of various mountain seafood every season. There are also freshly fried tempura and even sushi & beef steak at the gourmet buffet. Read moreCar park was free . |We booked two rooms - a western twin with futon and another futon room . The rooms were huge and clean . Wifi was adequate , shower pressure good . The beds only had one pillow each . More pillows were found in the cupboard but they looked yellow and had no cover . |No bottles of water were provided . |No small welcome snacks either . ||The onsens were great with a wide variety of scrubbing gels , good quality shampoos etc . |However one needs to bring the towel from the rooms down . There was a small locker to keep your card key , wallets etc . ||The shop at the lobby area was good with a wide variety of souvenirs . There was also a large seating area for one to relax . The Japanese Garden was lovely as well . ||Dinner was surprisingly good with sushi , sashimi , tempura , fried noodles , cold soba and almost all had the houto , the thick noodles in broth ( specialty of this region) .
