I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Asafuji during my trip to the Mt. Fuji area, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff provided exceptional service that truly made our two-night stay with our 1-year-old baby enjoyable. First and foremost, the staff at Hotel Asafuji deserves special recognition. They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort throughout our stay. From assisting with our luggage to providing helpful tips and recommendations for exploring the area with a little one, their warm and genuine hospitality made us feel right at home. The rooms at Hotel Asafuji were immaculate and well-maintained. The cleanliness and attention to detail were evident as soon as we stepped into our spacious and cozy room. The comfortable beds and thoughtfully arranged amenities provided a relaxing atmosphere for both us and our baby. It's worth mentioning that the hotel staff made sure to create a safe and baby-friendly environment, adding an extra layer of reassurance for us as parents. One of the highlights of our stay was the dining experience at Hotel Asafuji. The dinner and breakfast served at the hotel's restaurant were simply outstanding. The wide array of delicious and beautifully presented dishes showcased the finest flavors of the region. The culinary team deserves praise for their culinary expertise and the impeccable service provided by the attentive waitstaff. Additionally, Hotel Asafuji's location amidst the picturesque scenery of the Mt. Fuji area added to the overall charm of our stay. The serene surroundings and breathtaking views of Mt. Fuji from the hotel were truly awe-inspiring. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Asafuji for anyone looking for a memorable stay in the Mt. Fuji area. The friendly and accommodating staff, delectable dining experience, and spotless rooms exceeded all our expectations. They made our stay with our 1-year-old baby not only comfortable but also truly enjoyable. I cannot thank the staff enough for their genuine care and attention. Hotel Asafuji is indeed a five-star gem that I would happily return to in the future.

Asafuji Hotel is an exceptional destination that offers a perfect blend of comfort, hospitality, and breathtaking views of Mt. Fuji. From the moment you arrive, the staff's warm welcome sets the tone for an unforgettable stay. The rooms are meticulously clean, spacious, and many offer stunning views of the iconic mountain, creating a serene atmosphere that invites relaxation. One of the standout features of the hotel is its onsen (hot spring). With an open-air bath that overlooks Mt. Fuji, it provides an incredibly peaceful and rejuvenating experience, especially during sunrise or sunset. The water quality is excellent, and the ambiance is simply magical. The food is another highlight. Guests can enjoy beautifully prepared kaiseki meals, showcasing the finest seasonal ingredients in a delightful balance of flavors and presentation. Each dish is a work of art, and the dining experience feels personalized and luxurious. The hotel staff go above and beyond to ensure every need is met, offering attentive service without being intrusive. They are happy to provide local tips and help arrange sightseeing activities, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. Overall, Asafuji Hotel is more than just a place to stay; it’s an experience that immerses you in the natural beauty of the region and the elegance of Japanese hospitality. Whether you're looking for relaxation, cultural immersion, or simply a stunning view of Mt. Fuji, this hotel delivers on all fronts. Highly recommended for a tranquil and memorable retreat. I also asked ChatGPT to generate a picture for the hotel for me to remember this great experience of staying in the Asafuji hotel .

What a wonderful ryokan. I can’t recommend this enough. 1. Location: right next to the red line sightseeing bus bus stop. Super convenient to go anywhere around lake Kawaguchiko. They provide free shuttle bus (5 min ride) to Kawaguchiko station in the morning, and when you check in and out. 2. Extremely friendly staff. Very attentive and they speak English! When they realized we didn’t drink alcohol, they switched out the included alcohol in our dinners to another drink. So considerate! When they saw I didn’t eat sashimi (I don’t eat raw fish and gave it to my hubby) they offered to switch it out with something else the next day. So thoughtful! 3. Kaiseki breakfast and dinners are awesome!! I was so sad to leave because I knew I would miss the wonderful meals. Food was delicious always. 4. We got the room with the private bath. There is a beautiful view of the lake and mt Fuji! Definitely recommend 5. Public baths are so clean and beautiful, with an amazing view of the lake and mt Fuji I told my husband I want to stay here again when we come back to Kawaguchiko. We stayed two nights and didn’t want to leave. We felt so rested and taken care of. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Exceptional Stay – Feels Like a 5-Star Experience!

I feel like I was staying in a 5-star hotel even though it is officially rated as a 3-star. The service was immaculate, and we felt truly welcomed. The staff took great care of us, making our anniversary trip extra special by surprising us with a bottle of wine—such a thoughtful gesture! The staff members were amazing—polite yet friendly. A Thai staff member was particularly helpful, making our stay even smoother.

Our room was spacious, featuring a futon-style bed, a separate shower and toilet, and basic amenities, including skincare products for women. They also provided yukata and slippers, which added to the authentic experience. Although they don’t have a smart TV, we didn’t mind as we had a very comfortable and restful stay.

The Mt. Fuji view is not directly in front of the hotel but visible from the left side, which was still great. Waking up to see Mt. Fuji at sunrise was an unforgettable experience.

The hotel also has a public bath on the top floor. Though not large, it felt private and peaceful. I went after dinner and had it all to myself. The baths are separate for men and women, which added to the comfort.

The dinner was phenomenal—worth every penny. The food kept coming, and we were full and satisfied. Everything was delicious, high quality, and offered plenty of variety. The breakfast was also excellent and completed a perfect start to the day.

I loved how small and intimate the hotel felt—not too crowded, very private, and peaceful. They offer free transportation to and from Kawaguchiko Station, and there’s a bus stop right in front of the hotel, making it super convenient for sightseeing.

Overall, I cannot recommend this place enough! If you’re looking for a cozy yet luxurious stay in Kawaguchiko with top-notch service, this is the...
