One of the best hotel we stayed at when we're in Japan! So we chose this hotel as it was recommended by one of my superior at work. We took taxi from Kawaguchiko station because it's raining and we have quite some luggage. When we arrived at the hotel, we were amazed by the hotel itself! First of all, the prices already include breakfast in the morning and happy hour time in the evening. Second, their facilities is also really good! They have from onsen to laundry room and vending machine. Upon check-in, you will be given your room password (yes, it will not use card but using password different for each room), they will give you amenities for onsen. You can also pick your preferred amenities for your room right next to the elevator (pajama, pillow, comb, etc) remember to only take what you need. After that you will come to your room. The room is not spacious, but it is highly functional. The bed is comfortable, the pillow also comfy (you can get your preferred one in the lobby if you think it's too soft/hard), the bathroom is also small but you will get a separate shower and toilet which is quite rare in Japanese hotel as usually they use unit bath, so it's a pleasant surprise! I also get to try the onsen at midnight, it was pleasant. The area is clean, the are no puddle whatsoever in the powder room. We also use the laundry room. There are quite a few washing and drying machine so there are not many line going through in one machine. It's raining and foggy the whole visit so it's unfortunate that we cannot see the mount Fuji clearly, but at some point we can see them peeking between the clouds. So I believe this would be a popular destination especially when the weather is clear as you can see mt. Fuji right from the lobby. Overall a nice experience and would totally recommend this place to my relatives and friends for whoever staying in...
Read moreWe booked this hotel as it had a clear view of Mount Fuji. Unfortunately for us, we arrived on a very rainy day. Mount Fuji was hidden behind clouds. Anyway, we decided to take a taxi from Kawaguchiko station as we had luggage. It's a short ride and less than yen 1000,- As we were early we dropped our bags and went to explore the neighborhood. When we returned later the room was ready and we checked in. We were also invited to the free drinks served during happy hour in the restaurant. The staff are not fluent in English. We had a translating app and hotel used a translator too to get the message over. It worked fine. The hotel displayed guest amenities and stacks of pajamas in the reception area which you are free to use in the rooms. The ladies were given a small packets with facial creams, oils and such. Hotel had its own hot baths. Onsen. (separate baths for men and women). Room although tiny, (also because they added a third bed for our comfort) was very well maintained and spotless. Breakfast in the mornings were nice and enjoyable. Hotel is very keen on sustainability. The last day as we came down for breakfast we could see it was bright and sunny outside and Mount Fuji was clearly visible. We had a very nice time in Fuji despite the weather. Arigato gozaimasu to all the staff. Although we didn't speak Japanese, the staff made sure all our necessities were taken care...
