It’s our second time to visit Fukuoka and this time, we tried another hotel. We booked this hotel for six nights via Agoda and here are my observations:
Room is clean and just right for two people but bed is quite small (double) and had little room to maneuver. We should have booked the twin room but already fully-booked. There were enough pillows in the room. Toilet size is just okay with tissue and clean towels and hair dryer. There is a small fridge, plus water kettle, two coffee mugs and water glasses but no utensils. Big tv also provided. Our two big luggages were properly accommodated without blocking the entryway.
Free toiletries available at the lobby but shampoo, conditioner and soap already provided in the room.
No bottled water in the room but there is drinking water provided at some floors. Mwo for reheating food is available at the 8th floor. There are also washing machines provided.
Full Cleaning of room is done every three days but can also request new towels and disposal of garbage everyday. You can select the time depending on your preference.
Location is quite good. Maybe about five minute walk from Hakata station. There are nearby 7-11 and Family Mart plus Daiso, grocery store and shopping area. There is also a restaurant beside the hotel.
We were allowed to extend our checkout on Monday late afternoon since our flight is still in the evening but had to pay extra and price is reasonable.
Hotel staff are friendly and accommodating and can speak English well.

Read moreStayed at Richmond Hotel Hakata Ekimae in Fukuoka from 15 to 19 Oct. What I appreciated most was the hotel’s accessibility and convenience. It’s just a quick 5-minute train ride from Fukuoka Airport to Hakata Station, followed by an easy 5-6 minute walk to the hotel. The proximity to malls was also a plus. The hotel itself was clean, and the staff were warm and friendly, always greeting guests with a smile.||I stayed on level 7 in a small but cozy room. Amenities like toiletries were available at reception, so there was no need to worry about essentials such as toothbrush. They also provided a comfortable pajamas top, which was a nice touch. However, housekeeping only cleans the room if you inform the front desk at check-in and specify whether you want a partial or full clean-up. I wasn’t aware of this at first, and assumed they would clean my room automatically when I was out.||One minor downside was that all TV channels were local, so those looking for international cable options might be disappointed. Additionally, the hotel didn’t provide complimentary bottled water, which I felt would have been a nice extra. Other than that, it was a pleasant and...

The staff are friendly and attentive, always ready to help. I was particularly impressed when they returned my Kindle, which I had forgotten during a previous visit—such honesty really stands out.
The atmosphere in the hotel is pleasant and welcoming. It feels relaxed, making it a nice place to unwind after a busy day. The breakfast is also worth mentioning—plenty of options, including traditional Japanese dishes, and everything is fresh and satisfying.
The hotel is clean and well-kept, with attention to detail that adds to the overall comfort. A solid choice with a great location and...
