Staying at the JR Kyushu Blossom Hotel Fukuoka was an absolute delight! The entrance and front desk staff are lovely and the rooms are so clean and QUIET!The rooms smell wonderful and are well maintained and the beds are sooo comfortable. The staff are so attentive, sweet, helpful and kind. They stored our luggage for us until our evening flight out and called us a taxi to the airport without us even asking them first. When the taxi arrived it slowly drove past the hotel entrance, and one of the front desk clerks proceeded to run out of the hotel in her uniform and high heels and chase the taxi down for us!! She succeeded and then bowed to us repeatedly, apologizing and thanking us for our patience and understanding!!! These people are the sweetest, kindest, most respectful and helpful angels on the planet! Do yourselves a favor and book your stay at the JR Kyushu Blossom Fukuoka...be sure you type the correct Blossom Hotel (be sure to type BLOSSOM FUKUOKA) into your GPS, though, because there is another JR Kyushu Blossom Hotel just a few minutes away, which we mistakenly went to and there was nowhere to park so it was a little tricky. You will not regret a single minute of your decision to book this hotel as your wise choice for your stay in Fukuoka! It will add peace and joy to your trip, I assure you! Thank you, JR Kyushu Blossom Hotel Fukuoka for the best hotel experience we could have asked for! You are the best!!With much aloha and appreciation,Mark & Rochelle Alo -...
Read moreThere are 3 JR Blossoms and I think the other two are newer and better hotels - this one is a little old and in need of a refurbishing
We were disappointed with this hotel but I don’t think it’s the hotels fault I think it was sold poorly …meaning it wasn’t communicated clearly what standard this was - in saying all of that while it’s a little out you could walk into the centre and there were plenty of bars restaurants nearby
Best about its location was it was 1 minute walk to the train station so when it was time to go we were very close
Also the train station had heaps of shopping food places cafes etc so the location of the hotel for those purposes was really good
The rooms were clean the beds comfortable and bathrooms a reasonable size for Japan which is good when you are an Australian couple
The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful - they really were amazing and they were very kind
Breakfast was very traditional Japanese and while it was interesting we thought we could have either western or Japanese but that was not the case
The staff were very accommodating and helped us a lot which was great - really helpful although they couldn’t speak English they were very clear with communication
Overall I feel this is a good mid range hotel just thought we had purchased a higher quality hotel but again that was not the...
Read moreBlossom Fukuoka was priced slightly higher when I booked but it comes with its perks.
Continuing with my practice of having a proper hotel for our first day to acclimatise and rest from our flight, we dropped off our luggage and headed for lunch.
Blossom is located around the corner after Miyako and Lawson, a mere short walk from Hakata Central.
When we returned from lunch, our luggage was already waiting in the room. That was a very nice gesture imo.
Blossom is our base while I utilise the JR Northern Kyushu Pass 3 days and I took my time to orientate myself with the transport systems and the surrounding facilities.
The presence of JR lines, Shinkansen lines, subway lines and bus terminal makes this a sweet spot to plan our travels.
I consider our superior double room spacious enough. Additional amenities can be picked up from the lobby floor. Ice machine, laundry machine, dryers and microwaves...
