強羅 月の泉 — Hotel in Hakone

One of our most expensive night ($300) was spent here in Tsukino-Izumi. It was an adventure going up in the ziprail in Hakone Valley. Along the way there were probably less expensive resorts but this was the height of the hot spring experience. We had our private room and it was enormous. Expensive facials and moisturizers were provided with the room. And the toilet was as rumoured: fully automated and lit up as you slid the bathroom door open. Tea and snacks were given upon visit. The meal here were all Kaiseki, meaning you get set menus designed by the chef with seasonal and fresh ingredients. We were given resort yukatas while we roamed the surrounding areas before meals. There were beautiful vegetation surrounding the resort. Our private hot spring came with an outdoor view shaded by a private screen of trees. The waters were very hot so you'll come out in 10min increments to prevent a bloody nose. Overall very wonderful experience. I can go for...

Beautiful hotel with very friendly staff. Highly recommend you get a 2 minute taxi ride to get here as its an uphill walk from Gora station. ||||The room had its own hit sprint bath tub, very clean and modern. Has its own Nespresso machine, green tea set and two queen beds. Very spacious with a great view from the bath area.||||The dinner was great, served in the dinning room outside our room. we were surprised how big the fish was as kinmetai is not cheap. || ||The breakfast was served in the same room as the night before and also very delicate, you get to choose your fish the night before!
