Me and my boyfriend stayed here 1 night to celebrate our first year anniversary together. ||We hired out a car as the location is a tad remote to get too in terms of public transport, but the hotel offers free parking. ||When we arrived we were greeted by staff who took us into reception to check in. The staff were really nice and friendly. I was given a special patterned yukata as we hired an room with private onsen in. ||We were shown to our room and the staff member explained the onsen’s they had to offer etc. ||The room was huge! It felt more like a small apartment with three rooms divided, and a small balcony were the private onsen was located! It was extremely clean and we got a beautiful view of the sea. ||There was a fridge with lots of complimentary snacks and drinks from beer and chu hi to fruit etc. ||There are 6 public onsen’s and 1 foot bath. 4 you had to make reservations and was only allowed in for 50 mins. Then there was segregated men and women’s so no reservations were necessary. A very basic one overlooking the sea and the other within the hotel. The women’s onsen in the hotel was very basic only an outdoor and indoor, but my boyfriend said the men’s had a sauna and lots of different types of baths. I believe they may rotate them everyday. ||We had dinner and breakfast included with our booking. We could go down at 5:30pm to get dinner. It was very delicious and lots to eat. All you can eat on tempura. There is one catch you have to pay for drinks with your meal on checkout. Our waiter was lovely! We were always seen to quickly and we was even given a special little bit of cake at the end as we made the hotel aware we were celebrating our anniversary (they took a photo and put it on a card as we checked out next day).||They put the futons beds while your at dinner they were probably the most comfortable I’ve slept on in terms of futons. We were even give some sake when we returned to the room. ||Breakfast was also very delicious. The meal was very big and all you can eat on fish such as mackerel which was very tasty. ||They had some ping pong tables you could play and an yokocho that had lots of traditional games and get a free cup of beer between 4-6pm I think and some really sweet non alcoholic sake too.||We didn’t venture out or explore the area as we were mainly there to use the onsen’s but it was lovely ! ||Would definitely...
Read moreWe booked the sea view suite with private hot spring. The hot spring and view are good and meet our expectation.
However, the glass panels used in the hotel are very fragile and dangerous. Once, when I turned around to open the glass door in our room, my head meets the glass panel first and it simply shattered into pieces upon minimal contact and the broken glasses caused deep cuts.
It is so scary to see the glass panel literally shattering right in front of you and all the glass pieces falling on you.
You can see in the picture the contact point where my head meets the glass panel and the medical note showing that there is no bump or injury whatsoever on my head (and only cuts on my hands caused by the falling glasses) so the force of impact cannot be large enough to justify the glass panel shattering like this. Unfortunately, the glass panels used are not of a good enough grading and are not suitable to be used as full panel glass doors.
Luckily I did not injure my eyes or face and the cuts on my hands are healing even though I still cannot bend one of my fingers as of today because it is too swollen. I hope this will heal fully.
There are many newer and better built (thus safer) hotel in the vicinity so I would definitely not book this hotel again - it's simply not worth the risk of injury. If you have kids with you and booked this hotel, please be...
