Review of Fav Hotel Hiroshima Stadium: A Perfect Family Stay

Traveling with a five-year-old is always an adventure, but our stay at Fav Hotel Hiroshima Stadium made it feel effortless—and even magical. From the moment my wife, our energetic daughter, and I stepped into the sleek, modern lobby, we were greeted with warm smiles and a genuine eagerness to make our family feel at home.

First Impressions Matter The check-in process was smooth, and the staff immediately won over our little girl by handing her a small origami crane—a sweet nod to Hiroshima’s culture. The lobby’s open layout felt inviting, with cozy seating areas where she could wiggle around without us worrying about disrupting other guests.

The Room: Spacious & Thoughtful Our family room was a pleasant surprise. It was spacious enough to accommodate a king bed and a fold-out sofa, which the staff had already prepared with kiddo-friendly bedding for our daughter. The minimalist design kept things calm (a relief after long days of sightseeing), but playful touches like a locally themed mural added charm. Large windows offered a view of the stadium, which our daughter declared “super cool!”—especially when we spotted players training below.

The bathroom was a highlight: a deep soaking tub for my wife and me, and a step stool at the sink that made our daughter beam with independence. I also appreciated the childproofing details, like outlet covers and rounded furniture edges.

Happy Kids, Happy Parents

Location & Convenience The hotel’s location near Hiroshima Stadium is ideal for families. We were a quick tram ride from the Atomic Bomb Dome and the Peace Memorial Museum, and the nearby shopping arcades had plenty of spots to grab snacks or souvenirs.

Sleep Quality After action-packed days, we all slept soundly. The beds were plush, and blackout curtains ensured no 5 a.m. sunlight wake-up calls (a parent’s dream).

Final Thoughts

Absolutely. Fav Hotel Hiroshima Stadium isn’t just “kid-friendly”—it’s family-hearted. It’s the kind of place where parents can relax, kids feel celebrated for exactly who they are, and everyone leaves with happy memories. If you’re exploring Hiroshima with little ones, this hotel...

Apart from being dusty around the windows, this hotel was amazing. Very spacious for a family of 4-5 and the teens absolutely loved the spacious bunk beds. Our suite came with a kitchen and washing machine which also worked as a dryer. This hotel is great for families of 4-5 people and quite spacious for Japanese standards.

The check in process is a pain so I suggest you do the pre-arrival check in to save you time. This way all you have to do is scan the QR code.

The hotel is a 10 minute walk from Hiroshima station. There are convenience stores serving up fresh bentos a five minute walk away. You can also grab beautiful bentos at Ekie Department store at the station. Costco is a 15 minute walk and Mazda Stadium. We found a cool row of vending machines serving all kinds of food along the way. Aeon Mall with a Namco arcade was 20 minutes by bus.

There is a tiny cafe on the property but apart from that you’d have to find food elsewhere. Also note that they cannot stow your luggage before and after your stay so we left our suitcases in coin lockers at the station and...

My stay at the FAV Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. Among its standout features is the check-in process: fast, modern, and incredibly convenient, allowing you to complete everything in advance via a QR code, saving valuable time. The hotel is entirely keyless, using a PIN system for room access, which is both secure and practical. The rooms are modern and brand-new, with a sleek, functional design. I particularly appreciated the washer and dryer in the bathroom, a fantastic addition for longer stays. The smart TV and reliable Wi-Fi were great perks, and the kitchenette was well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable, self-sufficient stay. Another highlight was the option to have breakfast delivered to the room, adding a touch of convenience and relaxation. I genuinely have no negatives to mention—everything was flawless. I highly recommend the FAV Hotel to anyoneেই System: anyone seeking a modern, hassle-free experience. I’ll...

Room wise it's very very spacious, there are like 2 double beds plus 2 additional single bed (bunk bed style) on top of each the double bed so despite being marked for family room which normally means 4 occupants you can also fit 2 additional people inside. Access to washing machine is great and appreciated especially if you dont bring that many clothes which you have to wash after few days 🙂🙏🏻 Location of the hotel is not within main road hence you have to walk say around 10-15 mins from main Hiroshima station. There is a mini cafe on ground floor which you are able to grab an ok ish latte compare to the 7/11 one. If you are a cafe connoisseur i guess dont expect too much but ita definatwly better than instant coffee. Service is there but very minimum with the mini lobby usually manned by someone. Check in and out are automated through the machine in the lobby but in case you have issue you can always get assistance from someone.

About 8-10min walk from Hiroshima station, short enough if you go to Hiroshima for a weekend trip, but probably too far a walk if you are travelling from overseas with big luggages. We went earlier this week for a 3 day 2 night trip. FAV turned out to be much better than expected. Room was huge with a big bed and 2 futons which can be laid out on tatami area, good sitting area. A new good-sized washing machine can also be found within the bathroom area. One thing to note: at check in, they told us they don’t provide housekeeping services. Not sure if that’s still the case if one stays for longer.
