Looking for a hotel near Mazda Zoom-Zoom Stadium in Hiroshima? Let me tell you about a place that truly saved my trip.
I stayed there for three nights in early June 2025, and the location alone makes it worth considering. It is only a ten-minute walk from the stadium. No rushing, no crowded trains after the game. While other fans were still making their way through the station, I was already soaking in the tub.
The facilities were impressive. Everything felt new, and the hot water pressure was excellent. After spending more than three hours each day in hard stadium seats, that bathtub felt like a gift. Warm water, quiet space, and tired muscles finally at rest.
It is not perfect, of course. The hotel sits right in front of the train tracks, so you will hear trains passing by at night. But to me, that gentle rumble was far less disturbing than listening to a neighbor snore through the wall. A fair trade, I would say.
If you are walking from Hiroshima Station, pay attention. You will need to cross the railroad tracks. It might look a little risky at first, but just follow the locals and wait for the signal. It is simple once you see how it is done.
Check-in begins at 3 p.m. The staff were kind and welcoming, which set the right tone. On the second floor, you will find a microwave—though the buttons are in Japanese—and vending machines for water. Small details, but convenient when you need them.
Would I stay here again? Considering the comfort, the price, and above all, the location, absolutely. If you are heading to Hiroshima for a game, give it a try. And take a moment to enjoy both the city and...
Read moreThe hotel is brand new, with some useful technologies implemented, which is nice. The check out time is too early at 10 am, but the TV will alert you to this and make it possible to extend one, two or three hours for a fee. The rooms are really small, so be aware of that. The hotel is right next to a railroad track, and the soundproofing isn't on par, so if you get a room with windows facing that way, be prepared for the sound of frequent trains passing by.
The biggest problem with the hotel though, is that there are several Apa hotels in Hiroshima, and when providing the address details into Google Maps, it is not easy to find. It's just listed in Japanese, while the others are also listed in English. They are not too far apart, so ended up going to two other Apa hotels, on opposite sides of the train station, before being directed to the right one at the second Apa location. There should have been a lot better information for this for international travellers. It was also a problem when taking local taxis, that they didn't know of this new hotel, and due to language barrier would head off to different Apa locations before being directed to the right one. When trying to communicate this problem to the staff at the hotel, it's impossible due to them not speaking English. Breakfast at the hotel is decent, but expensive. A chef there was english speaking, which was...
Read moreGreat location just 5 minutes walk from train and tram station so very easy to get around (can use a pre paid Suica card on trams). Room and bathroom very clean but very small. Good sized bed and comfortable but not much space around the bed for your stuff or moving around! Bathroom also small but functional with good shower and loads of hot water. Our room overlooked the train tracks so we could hear the trains but they didn’t really disturb us. The room had centrally controlled air conditioning so the first night it was a bit warm for our liking. Overall perfect location and a good nights sleep at...
