A really lovely guesthouse with excellent staff. Nari, Masa, Yoshi, and Arisa are all super helpful and very friendly. They all really went out of their way to help me, Nari especially; he and his friend instantly began repairing my bicycle when I mentioned I had a problem. Talk about great!!||||There is so much information in the hostel about the surrounding area, including museums, onsen, and other places to stay along the shimanami Kaido, and if you have any questions the staff will help you organise and plan. Due to my limited Japanese Nari helped me to book a nights stay on Omishijima and recommended places for me to visit. Seriously, the staff there are all really awesome! ||||The hostel itself is very modern, super clean, and really cosy, with comfortable beds and a cute cafe; it's the perfect place to relax after cycling through the islands. It is also in the perfect location, mere feet away from the JR station, bike shops, and the beginning of the Shimanami Kaido.||||Whether your backpacking, biking, or like me don't really enjoy the sterile feeling of most hotels then I highly recommend this place. 5 star experience in my opinion. Will definitely return.||||Thanks to everyone for making my multiple stays such pleasant...
Read moreLove this guest house. Price is good. Staff is great. Lounge room for relaxing before or after your ride. Not only cyclists stay here. I think one night it was me and another cyclist and the other 12 folks were just tourists. Washers and dryers for washing your clothes. Small but nicely equipped hot showers. A garage and work shop with tools for keeping your bicycle over night and doing maintenance if needed. I stayed in one of the capsules which was great. The only complaint is that by nature of being in the capsule or dormitory, it isn't super quiet, but lights out at 11pm to 7am helps keep the noise down. They also have earplugs to grab if you need them.
2 minute walk to the train. There are a couple of decent restaurants and an onsen nearby. 2 convenience stores. About 5 minutes by bike to the pier. The Shimanami Kaido bike trail starts just outside at the main intersection.
The best recommendation for me isn't whether I would tell a friend or not but whether or not I will go back. I will definitely go back to Cyclonoie....
Read moreThis time I stayed in a mixed dormitory after cycling the Shimanami Kaido. I have already stayed at this guest house four times. Many Japanese and Westerners are staying, and there are relatively few Asians outside Japan. It should be noted that the staff here is knowledgeable about Shimanami Kaido and is a cycling specialist. Not only the bed, but also the living room and shower room were very clean, and I felt that the room rate was too low. Located right in front of JR Imabari Station, there are all necessary shops and restaurants nearby. I've never stayed in such a professional guest house so I was very impressed. Travelers planning to ride on the Shimanami Kaido should...
