shimanami PRIMEHOTEL IMABARI — Hotel in Imabari

今治で最もオススメのホテルです。 過去に今治で他のホテルにも宿泊した経験がありますが、旅行、ビジネスで宿泊するならば…ここが一番オススメです。 I can say this is the best hotel in Imabari. I have stayed at other hotels in this area before but I highly recommend this hotel for a trip or business occasion.

＞従業員の対応 とても親身で、困っているとすぐに声掛けをしてくださる従業員さんが多かったです。 特に深夜にチェックインする宿泊者を温かく出迎えてくださったり、家族での宿泊の際は子供にやさしく話しかけてくれたり…と、従業員の細やかな気遣いのおかげでホテル全体が明るい雰囲気になっていました。

Hotel staff All of them are so kind and friendly and they help you at first sight if you need their help. The entire atmosphere of the hotel is so welcoming thanks to the warm staff. In particular, they kindly welcome the guests who check in late at night or talk to kids gently when staying with a family.

＞居心地の良さ ホテル1階部分はドリンクバーがあり、開放感のある作りになっています。 また、清掃も隅々まで行き届いており、とても快適できれいなホテルでした。

Comfort The first floor has a drink bar and the hotel has a wide open space. Very clean and comfortable with every corner tidy cleaned.

お仕事をするスペース(Wifiと電源コンセント)もあり、会議室(15:00~)も予約で使えるので、ビジネスホテル寄りではありますが、多くの外国人旅行客や家族連れが宿泊していました。

There is a working space with free Wifi and power outlets. Also, you can use a conference room with an appointment (after 3pm). Even though this hotel fits more for business occasion, many overseas tourists and family enjoy staying here.

加えて、今治のホテルでは珍しいのですが、サウナルーム付きの大浴場が最上階にあります。 特にしまなみ海道でサイクリングを予定している方にとっては、旅の疲れが取れてリフレッシュできるでしょうね。

Also, there is a huge hot tub with Sauna on the top floor. Not so many hotels in Imabari have a Sauna room. For those who planing to go cycling in the Simanami Road, this would be a relaxing moment after a long day.

＞アクセスの良さ 今治駅近く(徒歩5分)なので、アクセスが非常に良かったです。 また、受付にてお願いするとタクシーの手配もいただけます。 (ビジネスで利用のお客さんはよく利用しておりました) なお、このホテルの唯一の短所は駐車場がホテルから少し離れた場所にあることですが、それについても受付で丁寧にご案内していただきました。

Accessibility This hotel is located near the Imabari station (5mins walk) and so convenient. You can ask at the reception for arranging taxis. (Business travelers often use this service) The only disadvantage of this hotel is the car parking is a little far from the hotel. But I was politely informed about that at the the reception.

＞食事 朝ごはんはビュッフェ形式です。 なお、朝食をとる場合は前日までに伝えると、当日に伝えるより若干安くなります。ご当地グルメの焼き豚卵飯を始め、地元の食材を用いた美味しい料理が多く、大変満足しました。

Meals Breakfast is buffet style. If you book a reservation for your breakfast the day before, you can get a discount. You can enjoy a lot of kinds of local food like grilled pork rice and more. They are so delicious!

＞注意点 おんまく(今治の夏祭り)の時期は激混みです。 どこのホテルでも同じ状況ですので、覚悟した方がよいですね。

Attentions The Onmaku (Imabari's summer festival) season is extremely crowded. The situation is the same at all hotels in this area, so you should be prepared for it.

Imabari marks the end of our Shimanami Kaido ride, as we turned into the hotel, we were wondering where to park our 🚲🚲 or do we need to wrap them in our Rinko bags before entering, to our welcome surprise, the hotel is well prepared with bicycle rack for riders like us🥰

While some of the helpful and friendly front desk staff are not very fluent in English, with the help of Google Translate, it is not a problem at all.

This hotel is very new, and it's only around 3 minutes walking distant away from the JR station. The lobby is very big with big windows and has many chairs for guest to sit and rest, there are also bike rack for you to lock the bike at the lobby. We were surprised to find out that there's welcome drinks and beer is also included. Our room was on one of the higher floor, so the view was beautiful.Breakfast was buffet style and was amazing, selection was great and delicious.
