Wanted to go somewhere with a seaview, pool and spa.|The Harvest Ito seemed to fit the bill especially as they were offering an off-peak mid-week package for a twin-bedded room with balcony including breakfast.|The hotel is a membership hotel first and foremost. Its a good 10-15 minute walk from Ito station which is not a problem as long as the weather is fine. The hotel has no shuttle but can be reached by bus which stops near Tsutaya (the DVD rental shop) for 170 yen.The other option is to take a taxi.|The staff were professional (but don't expect to have things explained in English)|The room was large and clean with a partial seaview on the 8th floor.|There's a pool and spa bath on the 10th floor. The pool was almost always empty especially just after 1pm and after swimming you can slip into the spa bath as there's an interconnecting changing room. You will need a bathing cap to swim but you can rent one if you don't have your own. Also there are mini-lockers to store your valuables in the changing rooms but all the instructions how to use are in Japanese.Basically choose the locker number (3 numbers and empty if there is no red light...and then immediately input a 4 number password. The locker will open.Put your valuables in and close the door. Its then locked. To open again follow the same sequence)|The ladies and men's baths change at midnight every day so you get the chance to try all the baths if you stay 1 night.|Breakfast was adequate. For my 3 night stay the choice was exactly the same every morning. The western selection was nothing to write home about but the Japanese selection was much better with some nice baked fish options. The only English in the breakfast room was for Tea,coffee or hot water. There is no explanation about any of the food items on offer so be prepared to ask if you need help...a couple of the staff spoke a little English.|All in all a good place to stay if you just want to relax and use the pool and spa.Geered very much to the Japanese...
Read moreThe interior of the hotel is very beautiful, the objects in the public areas are stunning. The rooms are large, clean and very comfortable. The breakfast is great, and the viiew of the small adjoining garden is lovely. It was stated someplace that the reception's hours were limited, but that didn't seem to be the case. The staff was very helpful. The walk from the train station is 10-15 minutes. Though not advertised there are a few coin laundry machines on the same floor as the onsen and pool.||My wife and I stayed at this hotel in 2017 and we enjoyed it so much that we were looking for reasons to go back. In 2018 we visited the MOA Museum in nearby Atami which was incredible Another day, we walked along the Jogasaki Coast after a short train ride and a fair walk to its start - we walked along the coast to the nearly new New York Lamp Museum and Flower Garden, all very nice.||For the price, there aren't any hotels - in the US or Europe - that are as delightful...
