This is my fav hotel during my trip in Feb. Although we arrived in a cold rainy day, the staff welcomed us at the entrance, gave us slippers to wear inside and helped put our shoes away, we stepped in and felt warmed up immediately. We were impressed by their hospitality!
They have 3 private hot springs that you can directly go in and lock up ( if it’s vacant), one of them is outdoor, and the sign in the lobby shows which place is available currently so it’s very convenient! And then there are 2 public ones for female and male, at 10pm the two genders switch places. I tried all the onsen and they all differ in style and temperature, lots of fun! The hotel provides detailed instruction for its facilities, in English Chinese and Korean.
I like the traditional Japanese style room a lot, it’s clean and decorated with taste, the tatami bed was comfortable and I slept very well. The breakfast was kinda simple, western style. But I can see they prepared everything with care and the staff paid attention to keep the counter tidy all the time, which is deeply appreciated. I didn’t know how to use the ice cream vending machine and they kindly showed me too lolll
Overall it’s perfect for my first Japanese onsen hotel experience, at reasonable price. I miss Ito and Daitokan, and all the friendly staff. Also it’s just 15 mins walk from the train station so very easy to access. Will def repeat...
Read moreA very nice stay if you choose the traditional tatami + futon room, NOT the "western" room - that's a cramped hole on a gloomy exit staircase, separated from other rooms with a heavy door and outdoor hallway, no shower and wifi didn't work there - a big mistake to book it; we were lucky that it was possible to change it for a traditional room - spacious, light, with a shower and much more comfort, good wifi - even though it costs slightly more, it was worth it. The onsen is lovely though old, the staff very nice, the breakfast room elegant and pleasant. It is good to speak a little Japanese. Walkable distance from the station. An affordable choice if you want to make trips...
Read moreOnsen is available 24/7 -3 private and two large baths. All different theme at each bath. Spacious room with large openable veranda doors. Green tea with cute tea set at room were very welcoming. Near the ocean and many fresh seafood restaurants toward Ito station.||Buffet western style breakfast was ok. I wished they serve Miso soup, instead of consommé. Front staff was very kind and helpful. Small lockers at the lobby were handy to lock our passports and valuables during our sightseeing. We enjoyed cherry blossom at Kawazu, 40 minutes train ride. ||Only one thing we missed was no wifi in the room and we had to go to the...
