If you are on a lower budget and are into traditional Japanese style architecture and meeting new people, this place is for you!

Very clean and tidy accommodation and well functioning WiFi made the stay very comfortable. It has a chill and easy vibe thanks to the owner Hide-san. Drinking Water supply is available 24/7. just next to the sea side and about 8 min walking distance to the train station made it easy to travel to different places in surroundings (like Enoshima, Kamakura, Fujisawa , etc). 5 min walking distance to Hase-temple (picture is from the view of Hase from the temple ).

What makes this place really special is because of Hide’s open and very helpful spirit. You can tell he really appreciates nature and Japan as he has a lot of knowledge about sightseeing and travelling which he will be happy to share with you. I went to one of his recommended places in Hakone and it was absolutely beautiful! I felt very welcome and relaxed at his place. Thank you Hide-san for your kind...

A calm and clean oasis in a quiet area.

I only struggled with the mattress in the dormitory, which I found to be thin (Japanese futon-style) and it's directly on the wooden frame of the bunk bed. So for me it was quite hard and uncomfortable.

Towel rental costs 100 yen. Showers aren't available 9 - 13.00 due to cleaning. Wasn't a problem for me, but to take note.

Note: no lockers and no keys, the door of the house and doors to the rooms are unlocked at all times. I didn't mind, as the area is residential and it contributes to the overall homey atmosphere, but for you to consider. There is some open space under the staircase to put...

This place had a fantastic, serene vibe and is a great place to stay to visit the town and beach area. The common room/area is very relaxing, and also contains the showers.

The man who greeted us was very quick to get there from wherever he lives, and gave us a great intro to the place, cold water to drink (it was a hot day in July), and then chatted with us about our vacation, where we lived, etc. A very good soul in a good place in his life. He gave us meal suggestions and other local advice.

The woman who was there when we checked out was also very kind...

I was fortunate enough to have the mixed dormitory room to myself. The facilities are perfect, relatively fitting with enough amenities for the number of guests. And the staff I met was wonderful. Due to its perfect location, the beach is right out front. The only downside was that the guests in room next door were quite loud, but it’s nothing that a good AirPods or earplugs couldn’t fix. I cannot wait to go back again.

It’s decent, clean. Owner/caretaker was cool. Free hot/cold water, wifi, coffee/tea. The common area was nice. The room I was in accommodates 4 (2 bunk beds). Overall cleanliness was good for me. It’s also a 1-star hotel so all the negatives — bad pillows, convo noise from other rooms, the snoring, the noise the wooden walls/sliding doors make, are par for the course. Not too bad for a quick stay.
