I love this hotel, and the staff is wonderful. I visited with a large group, and we were treated extremely well. The rooms are authentic Japanese style bedrooms with tatami mats to sleep on. My bedroom window overlooked beautiful Kesennuma Bay, and I actually saw the sun rise over the mountains across the bay. Kesennuma was very impacted by the Tsunami that followed the earthquake on 3/11/11. This is a beautiful little fishery town on the northeast shore of Japan.
