Akashiyaki Tsukasa — Local services in Kobe

I had a very unpleasant experience at this oden restaurant. While I was eating, two Taiwanese customers next to me started chatting with me. The owner and his family immediately switched to speaking Japanese and moved me to a seat right by the doorway to separate us, and kept urging other customers to leave. First, this place clearly discriminates against Chinese customers — even when I entered, the napkin was thrown right in front of me. Second, the food is far from impressive; the best oden I’ve had was at Tsurumaru in Takamatsu, and this place doesn’t even come close. You may have heard of Takoyaki, but have you heard of it’s predecessor, Akashiyaki? Unlike takoyaki which sometimes has a crispier shell, akashiyaki is soft throughout. ⁣ ⁣ They way you eat it is by dipping it into a dashi broth! 🐙⁣ ⁣ 𝗔𝗸𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝘆𝗮𝗸𝗶 𝗧𝘀𝘂𝗸𝗮𝘀𝗮 serve 2 menu items, Akashiyaki and Oden.
