Hotel is in an excellent location right on top of Sannomiya Hanky station with subways and JR within 3 minute walk. The entrnce is basically right outside the ticket gates to Hankyu. The hotel is typical japanese 3/4 star which mean the hotel is well kept, clean and friendly staff . The rooms is also well kept and clean. However some signs of wear in the room. AC is working good and is not very noisy on low setting. There was an air purifier in the room that was very noisy on auto setting. After using a translater app I was able to set it to Eco mode which meant silent. The layout in the room was a bit weird with half the bathroom in the hallway. Meaning the sink and amneties was the first think you see when opening the door. Toilette and shower is in a separate room. Note that if you share room with someone the toilette and shower have glass walls towards the bedside and only a curtain will give you privacy. Not an issue for 1 person but may be awkward if sharing with someone not very close to you. Many amneties are not in the room but can be picked up at the elevator on the lobby floor. Remember to grab what you need. You can choose how often the room is cleaned so you are not forced to follow envirmoental guidelines nor are you forced to have room cleaned every day. The freedom of choice is a good thing.|Breakfast is ok. It got a nice selection in the buffet but its not a huge selection. But it was good enough and it did the job. The best part for the hotel is location. The main shopping area is 5 minute away, a nightlife area right outside the door and several mall close by. So you do not need to go far for a meal, a night out or just doing some eventing shopping. With all major trains and subway also running through the are you have everything in Kobe available. Also Chinatown is within walking distance (10-15 minute) .|Drawback of the hotel is that the windows isnt very soundproof so even in the top floors you will here the night life. While it didnt bother me a lot as it wasnt any louder that normal trafic it may be a drawback for people who are light sleepers.|But the location of this hotel is so good that theres no point staying elsewhere unless on a very...
Read moreMy wife and I stayed here for a few nights. The compact room was larger than most in the hotel, but small for us with two large cases. There was no place to open both at the same time. The double bed butted onto a wall, so only one side was accessible. The bed was comfortable, and the pyjamas fitted okay. Let's say that one size doesn't fit all, Westerners. The views from the high level room were pretty good though. Bathroom was tiny, but there was a good flow of hot water in the shower. WIFI was okay, as well. My Japanese wife handled the room check-in. I didn't understand the process at all. I noted that there were toothbrushes and toothpaste available, as well as tea, a sweet or a soft drink for every night, but it really wasn't my taste. I always have my own toiletries, every time I travel. Also, the lift from the street, takes you up to the lobby where the check-in is electronic. Nevertheless, the hotel is well located and it's easy to get around the City from this hotel. For me, service was not a standout at this hotel, mainly I felt that management weren't actively promoting personal service, just providing assistance on how to use the electronics. I probably would look for a different hotel next time I am in Kobe. But it is a modern experience, if that is what you are...
Read moreThe hotel is great. It's a typical Japanese small room with a big suitcase that can't be opened. This type of room is very common in Japan, but this hotel is new and clean. The design is very convenient. There are hanging clothes and charging ports and various lights. , a refrigerator and a safe, and a massage chair, which is very comfortable. The room I booked does not have a bathtub, and the wet and dry areas are separated. It takes an hour to take the bus from Kansai Airport to Sannomiya. It takes less than 10 minutes to walk to the hotel after getting off the bus and pushing a suitcase, which is very close. The entrance of the hotel is very small. It is right at Hanshin Train Station and has direct elevator access. Breakfast is at the observation deck, the view is great. The transportation is very convenient. Sannomiya Station is right downstairs. It takes less than 5 minutes to get there by JR or Kintetsu. It is very convenient to get to Osaka, Kyoto, and Nara. The famous Wagyu shop is right next to the hotel. It seems to be a street for eating Wagyu. The first floor of the hotel is next to Starbucks, a commercial street, and a food court. Although the room is right above the railway tracks, it is very quiet and the air conditioning does not make any noise,...
