Great clean place to stay with welcoming Manager. Kotodama a mix of modern and traditional Japanese house.
7 min to Yubatake “center” of town 300m from bus station, 5 min walk Tonkatsu restaurant next door, went twice Supermarket across street, well stocked in morning. Restaurants close early in town so shop early Soymilk pudding shop nearby, open early Traditional Japanese sweet shop next to Lucky Bagel, go as soon as open bc it will sell out. If lucky may get ichigo daifuku!
Always say yes to free map manager gives as she also will give you all best recommendations if you ask politely. I ate at all the places she recommended! Very happy and full!
If you check-in early leaving luggage before exploring is highly recommended. Call if late check-in she is very accommodating.
Another reviewer said it wasn’t central, but maybe they were tired after onsen or wearing geta walk up little incline. Remember to drink water after onsen, guesthouse sells water and beer. Easy walk back from center of town for pictures in Yukata morning, afternoon and night. 500 yen yukata rental available, I brought my own but would recommend for onsen and pictures.
Great WiFi! Shower available before heading to free onsen/Sento in town. Laundry 500 yen. And kitchen with cute dishware for use. Clean, dry, put back like most Japanese guesthouse.
I will be back! Thank...
Read moreI have chosen to stay there due to its close location to the express bus terminal and the single room price is quite affordable. When alight at the Bus Terminal, turn back to the road where the bus came from and walk uphill. You will passed by a white café house, some shops, supermarket (on your left). Focus on your right, when you see a pole with a vertical signboard (pig head picture). Besides it is a small open car park, you can find Kotodama Guest House just behind the carpark. The owner was not there when I reached the place. A kind guest help me to ring a bell and she came back soon.||She is very kind to answer all my questions and help to indicate on the map on where the free onsens etc..The room is considered spacious, comfortable futon and bed, a small heater, small fridge, storage racks etc. Toilet is clean and you can buy food from nearby supermart and cook in the kitchen but I only used the kettle to boil water for instant noodle.I did not use their bathroom so I cannot comments. Overall, I think it is ok for a...
