KKR Hotel Nagoya — Hotel in Nagoya

I was surprised when we entered the room. I expected it would be small, just as our hotel room in Tokyo. But it was actually very spacious. We booked for 3 persons (2 adults & 1 12-y/o child). they prepared 2 full size beds & 1 soda bed (full size as well) and everything else in 3 counts (tooth brushes, towels, etc). It has a small fridge, hot water maker, and tea pots & cups.|We can tell that it was an older hotel. But even though it's old, they kept it very clean and comfortable. They provided new towels & toiletries everyday.|The staffs were friendly and helpful. We were able to leave our suitcases after check out time (11am) and picked them out before we left for airport (5pm).|The hotel is located at business (offices) area. There's 1 Lawson (convenient) store at the building next door. From our room we could view the Nagoya castle. Amazing view from our room! We specifically requested a castle view. It was worth it.||||It is on the road side not the 'quiet' side but at night, there is rarely any traffic so it was not an issue.||||Located beside the castle in the edge of the government offices area, their obvious target market is the government, lawyers and other professionals that have businesses nearby. ||||The negative to the location is, no entertainment or restaurant options nearby. Everything needs to be a car or train ride away. ||||That been said, Nagoya is pretty small city so the entertainment district is about 10 minutes by car ride away.||||Therefore, relative few children and it is very quiet hotel. ||||The room we got was a decent size comparative to other Japanese hotels.||||Ample parking outside on the property. ||||10 minute walk to two nearby...
