Nagoya Nogakudo Noh Theater — Attraction in Nagoya

I'm not very generous with my 5 stars but every visit to the Nagoya's Noh theatre has been a memorable experience. Noh isn't easy, yes but the effort you put into understanding and appreciating it you will get back a hundred fold the type of emotions you hope to get out of any artwork. There is an exhibition room to have a closer look at some of the costumes and props, as well as a mask you can handle and wear if you fancy. (the mask is in the lobby.)

Tip: take a valid ID to prove non-Japanese citizenship and get a discount on an early purchase. Credit cards accepted.

A beautiful Noh Theater, I place I usually only see in shows and animes, so it is nice to see what an actual one looks like. There is a few things to look at here, so it doesn't take up so much time, so it is a good mini stop from the castle.

Really interesting environment. I recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen a Noh play before. It's not quite what I expected, but they had a pamphlet in English and Japanese for the story that the Noh play displays. That definitely helped me.
