So stayed at yet another Toyoko Inn. Stayed here in June '06. Most of the Toyoko Inns are similar. These are like the Best Westerns back in the US. They're nice business budget hotels with good amenities. All the Toyokos have a dining room/area close to the lobby. On the ground floor there's usually a small laundry room with pay washer and dryer. There are also vending machines with water, coffee, snacks, and soft drinks. Word for those who may not be aware, breakfast is Japanese style, which means tea, miso soup, and choice of a few types of onigiri.||||Each Toyoko room I stayed at was a single room with a clean comfy bed. Room also came with a desk, fridge, small closet, and small all-in-one bathroom. For the uninitiated, the bathroom is quite a technological innovation. The bathroom is a step up from the rest of the room. The tub is large and deep Japanese style tub. The toilet seat has a bunch of buttons to control the warmth of the seat, activate the bidet function, and do some other things that I don't remember. Toiletries are great and are all in one convenient location, no more little bottles.||||For the price, the value you get from a Toyoko is outstanding. ||||Since all Toyokos are fairly similar, this review will be more about the city in which it was located. ||||The hotel was conveniently located right next to the Miebashi train station. The trains run on a monorail line so they are quiet so you don't really notice the train much while sleeping. The station itself is a few stops away from the airport so that was quite convenient as well. My family on my dad's side was from Okinawa so we had a small family reunion of sorts in Aug '07. Getting around the island was fairly easy, if you had a taxi or rented a car. Naha serves as a great base camp or jumping point to other spots around the island. Lots of Americans from the military base are around in Naha so there are lots of American style restaurants in town but do try the authentic Okinawan dishes while there. Hope to return again some day...

Not sure of their english speaking abilities because I speak Japanese. Rooms are above average for Japanese standards. Full size bed for single room instead of a single size bed. Room had A/C, mini fridge, LCD TV with video on demand rental, tea pot with tea, slippers and robe, space under bed was high enough for suitcase storage, alarm clock, free wifi, and basic toiletries (toothbrush with tooth paste, razor, soap and shampoo. Vending machines with soft drinks, snacks and alcohol in lobby. Tea, water and coffee dispensers also in lobby. Breakfast is included with stay. Basic Japanese style breakfast. Walking distance to Kokusai Dori. Convenient shopping and dining within area. The only negative was their house cleaning policy where you have to vacate the rooms from 1000-1600. Not sure if you ask to not have your room cleaned that day you can sleep in? I never asked. Overall a nice stay and will...
Read moreI was allotted an accessible room as my preferred non-smoking twin room was not available. The accessible room is almost like a normal room in size and features, except that the toilet is much bigger.||||For my first two days in Naha, I had checked into another apartment hotel as there was no vacancy in Toyoko Inn. I had plans to take Hotel International Card membership so as to avail the facilities for all my future stays in Japan coming up. So I checked in and simultaneously activated my membership. ||||Good experience at the check in counter staffed by very courteous staff dressed in Naha's beach shirts. Location wise the hotel is near to a mono rail station and many tourist and commercial places. There is a big mall in walking distance where a Daiso store is available. ||||The complementary breakfast was very delicious and fulfilling. All in all the hotel is cozy and convenient in all respects. I will choose to stay in this...
