Hotel Miwa — Hotel in Numazu

A pretty convenient, casual, and very typical “Business Hotel” for Japanese salarymen on a biz trips and small family trips in the area.

Pros: -Their online plans are reasonable and very easy and flexible with your possible hectic itinerary by establishing communication. -The hotel staff are efficient and attentive. -The optional and selectable breakfast (Japanese, European, Curry rice special and else) is actually fun and all tasty. -Just a few minute walk from the Shinkansen stopping JR Numazu Station. -The rooms/facilities are generally fine and clean. As a knackered cyclist (pedalled 130km from Tokyo in 8.5 hrs), I was glad that they quickly offered a roofed bike parking space just opposite the street when I arrived. Thanks! I could never get to but there seem to have been some restaurants and bars like seafood izakayas near the hotel. Besides, a hotel bar opens at night. Good free Wi-Fi. Simple 11 a.m. check-out time scheme.

Not so but if I’d say, Cons: No big common bath, no in-house laundrette. No souvenir selling corner (asking too much?). There was a bedside alarm clock but no alarm functioned phone system nor have human wake-up call service (a hotel guy kindly and specially did it for me, though). Several usable outlets but no dedicated USB charging points.

I may come back with more time, hopefully, and enjoy the city roam and the European-style...

We stayed total of 6 nights at Hotel Miwa. The location is excellent. It is close to the train station, but quiet. We went to nearby Seven Eleven almost daily to get snacks. There are lots of place to eat. The breakfast was great too. Only issue we have is that the bathroom is very small (in Japanese room, it might be different in other type of rooms.) We shopped at Ito Yokado/Issetan Plaza few times as well. They are all pretty close. If you don't mind walking, a little further away is Uniqlo where you can find affordable fashion.Excellent stay. 夏場、仕事で利用。会社が予約。素泊まり一人部屋5階禁煙。 駅が近い。周辺にセブンローソンファミマある スタッフは普通。良くも悪くもない。 一見、部屋はそれなりに綺麗だしベッド頭にコンセント穴が一つある。 が、綺麗なの入った瞬間だけ。色々不便で不快。 風呂は小汚ないしシャワーのホースが壊れてて水が噴き出した。だが水圧はそれなり。 お風呂のカーテン破れてるし汚い。 ドライヤーがホテルあるあるの使うだけ無駄な生温い息吐いたような乾かないドライヤー。 アメニティに女性向けは無い。 中のパンフは切れてたり破れてたり折れてたり。 これで点検完了してるんですと。最悪。 疲れた体癒したいのに癒す気にもなれない これでゆっくりくつろげ。だそう。 ごみ箱は袋が置いていない。どこに物捨てろと？ 変な椅子みたいなのある。他に置くものありそうなもんだが？ エアコンあるが涼しくない。lawは切れてるに等しいhighは細やかな換気程度。 廊下の音がめちゃくちゃ聞こえる。糞うるさい。 Wi-Fiのpassにマルしてくれたが他に目を向けたりやることあんじゃねぇかな？ 廊下の狭い一角に自販機と製氷機 自販機は、ほぼ売り切れ。製氷機は汚くて使う機も起きない。 ...
