The quality of the object in relation to the price is not bad, but there are several disadvantages.
This hotel is like armchairs on its top floor - they look nice but are totally uncomfortable.
I didn't pay attention to that before, but people in the comments write about the same problems as ours; nevertheless, the hotel has found a way - in exchange for positive comments, you can receive free gifts, hence the positive and negative attitude. First things first.
First of all - the room booked through Booking did not look like the pictures. The offer (Booking) has rooms of a higher standard than assigned to guests. At the beginning we received a windowless room at all and were informed that the room from the offer was not available. It wasn't until the next day that we were moved to another. In the first room the heating could not be turned on - when it was about 9 degrees outside, there was little more inside, the first night was terrible. After the transfer, it turned out that all the windows in the hotel were leaking for some reason and just blowing in the rooms, the heating had to be turned on all the time; it was either stuffy or cold. I don't even know how to spend winter in this hotel. :(
Secondly - internet problems. Most rooms have problems connecting to the router, connections are often dropped; in general there is a problem with the Wi-Fi configuration in the facility and for example when more people are trying to connect or have an older smartphone, setting the route is problematic. We came from Europe, so WiFi internet was quite an important issue for us (e.g. to check where to eat and so on).
As for the location - it is not far from the subway line, but the object is just located so that most places go a long time (not very good connections) and there is little to see in the area. It's about 45 minutes to the entertainment districts on foot.
There are a lot of such small details that testify to the chaos in building or managing the facility - so what if there are blankets, since the material they are made of does not give heat, but it moistens in a moment and does not want to dry? Who comes up with the idea to stick the wall to the window? Why should you feel musty in the common area?
It should also be remembered that the rooms could be better used space and, for example, add luggage racks (although in the case of facilities in Japan is the norm).
There are pros - good cosmetics available in the bathrooms and a nice view from the top floor. Big bids are also due to great service - you can see that they are trying to do everything possible to make their guests stay in a good atmosphere, and even solve problems that do not result from their bad will. The service (polite and understanding) is definitely a plus. Nearby is also an amazing restaurant with okonomiyaki where local businessmen eat. The price is also quite attractive, slightly lower than the facilities in the area, but no towels, for example. The beds are large and comfortable, the rooms and bathrooms are really clean.
To sum up - it's difficult to clearly assess the object, there are a few significant minuses to...
Read moreFirst of all, I would like to state that this hotel is quite good. I deliberately gave such a bad review because I hope that the hotel owner, Ctrip, and people who may visit this hotel will be vigilant. I hope that this bad thing will not happen again. My flight was delayed by nearly three hours. If the flight was not delayed, I could arrive before 23:00 as specified by the store. So I asked Ctrip to contact me when I arrived at the airport in the afternoon. The store also responded that after 23:00, it is added before 24:00. Of course there is no problem charging 1,000 yen at this time. I also asked customer service to coordinate if it is past 24 o'clock. Can they give us the door code for night entry and exit? Then we can see where to put the door key. We can pick it up when we arrive and wait for them to work the next day. I checked in again but the store refused. I left customs at about 10:30. I quickly took the subway to the hotel. I thought I would arrive at 24:00 in more than an hour. At this time, I also contacted Ctrip customer service and said that I was on the subway. I bothered the hotel people to wait for me, but when I transferred to the subway for the second time, it was already 11:45. I quickly asked Ctrip customer service to help me call the hotel and told them that I would take a taxi and asked them to wait for me. When I got in the car, I asked the driver to call the hotel for me, but no one answered the phone. The customer service also contacted and said that no one answered the phone at the hotel. It was not even 12 o'clock yet. If your family is traveling and is locked on the street What would you think if something happened to a girl on the street? The door of the hotel I arrived at around 12:10 was already closed. Hotel staff, have you ever thought about how it would feel if you traveled to other countries and were left on the street late at night? I booked tickets for Universal Studios the next day and I don’t know what to do?I checked in when they arrived at eight in the morning, then took a shower and went directly to Universal Studios. You can imagine taking a flight for a day and then arriving at the hotel without even waiting for a moment. I couldn't sleep all night. My ticket for the next day It can’t be wasted. I even took a taxi and didn’t check into the hotel on the first night and couldn’t get a refund. This is such a bad thing. What do you think of this matter, the hotel and Ctrip? Can you imagine if it happened to you? Since they kept calling me and told me that I would definitely arrive, I didn’t want to wait, and I had to pay for waiting, and the hotel didn’t even wait until twelve o’clock! Ctrip customer service should have recorded that when I got into the taxi, I asked the driver to call the hotel for me. The driver made several calls to the hotel and no one answered the phone. I contacted the customer service to inform them, and the customer service also replied that no one was...
Read moreThis is my personal experience at this place for 7 nights' stay.
Location wise, it is great. It is only half an hour walk to Dotonbori Street where you can bleed your leg until you run out things to do.
My room was on the 5th floor, and I can't say I really enjoyed it cuz you'd at least expect free slippers and a towel, which is currently being offered as a rental service. The room was dusty, and my pillow had a yellow stain, which was faint but unpleasant. I know it's "u get what u paid for," but you can tell that they make this their excuse to get away from doing the basics. What I wanna say is my room wasn't as clean as I had expected it to be. The glasses girl at the reception could use a smile. Her reaction wasn't very friendly when I reacted in surprise that they charged you for towels and slippers and other amenities.
The overall feeling of the service is that this place felt like it's hiding behind the name hostel, implying they expect you to know they aren't a hotel. In fact, I couldn't help but overly feel like it's run by a group of college students who are there for fun. I couldn't really feel any sense of standards(especially the glasses girl).
The saving grace was that they were kind enough to hold onto my belongings after my check out for a few hours. Did stay over a...
