I booked this hotel through their website. Their price was good. and hotel easy to reach by subway, get off at station Tanimachi 4 chome. (Exit #8). Once you get on street level keep walking straight.(so if you are facing a building, you would be going right). JThe hotel is about a 5 minute walk (or 3 intersections away) from the subway station. The entrance is tiny so you may miss it if your not careful. Look for the Toyoko inn 4&5 symbol. If arriving late, make sure you note this in your reservation so they keep your booking. You can only book the hotel 2 month in advance.||||Location wise the area is quiet, not the city centre full of shops and at night it is quiet. But the hotel is good if you want something cheap and a good standard. Japan subways are alway full of people anyway, so it feels relatively safe. However, there is no night life here. It is geared more to businessmen and the area is quiet after 6pm.||||I have stayed at 3 of these Toyoko Inns around Osaka and Kyoto and I have found them all to be great. They all have the same standard and the rooms are the same set up. Rooms are small, but this is what all hotels in Japan are like.||||The great thing is, each room has free internet connection. They provide the LAN cable in each room and the internet is quite fast. They also have free computers and internet in the Lobby (this is also for all Toyoko inns around Japan). This lobby is tiny, no seats.||||Toilets have bidets which are seats that can wash your bottom.||||Toyoko inns also give guests free breakfast each morning. Rice balls, miso soup, tea/coffee. Breakfast is from 7am-9.30am. Breakfast is on the ground/lobby floor. with a seating area. The vending machine is also on the ground floor. They also have a filtered water dispenser here.||||Check in is at 4pm. check out 10am. But you can always leave your bags if you arrive early or leave late.||||You must pay once you check in, and the staff at the desks are all women, hotel manager is a woman. They are all friendly.||||The hotel has a laundry machine, but the instructions are all in Japanese. They have a vending machine which is well priced...
Read moreThis relatively new hotel is conveniently situated at a main intersection, and is within a short walking distance to the Tanimachi-4 chome subway station. It doesn’t have a grand lobby, but it’s ideal for lone travelers or two to a room; not really for families. One of the two receptionists understood English fairly well and was extremely helpful. ||||Next door is a 24/7 convenience store where you can get snacks and other needs. The accommodations come with free buffet breakfast, albeit the selections are limited – bottomless coffee or tea, rolls, sticky rice, miso soup, sweet beans, sausages, a noodle-and-vegetable dish, and various sorts of pickled vegetables. There are also vending machines for drinks and snacks at the cafeteria.||||There isn’t much for a tourist to see around the area except for the Osaka Castle, the NHK Building, and the Osaka Museum of History, which are about a 10-minute walk away. Otherwise, there are only high-rise office buildings all around.||||My room was pocket-sized, and didn’t have a nice view, but had all the amenities I needed – Internet access in the room, a safe, a tea server, a ref, a high-def flat-screen TV, and even a trouser press. The bed was extremely comfortable – with a plush comforter and high-thread-count sheets – and was perfect for a restful sleep before my flight the next day.||||The toilet was spotless, and I had the feeling I was probably the room’s first occupant. It had a bidet and a seat with all the high-tech, push-button conveniences. As I was about to leave, I needed to print out a few maps and details about the shopping areas near the airport, and the English-speaking receptionist directed me to a printer at the lobby. The printing service is free of charge. They courteously allowed me to leave my luggage at the desk after I checked out (in most of Japan, check-out times are too early at 10 AM; and check-in, too late at 4 PM) and needed a couple of hours to walk around the area prior to taking a cab to the airport.||||In all, I think this establishment gave me good value for my money, and I would definitely check in again at one of this chain’s hotels...
