Location: There is a bit of a walk from here to the subway or other train lines, so keep that in mind. If you walk about two blocks west, there are often taxis lined up, especially in the evening and early morning. Also 7-eleven is a bit of a walk away, but Family Mart is very close. |Room: We booked standard double rooms. Keep in mind the "moderate" category rooms have the sink close to the bed which I find somewhat awkward. The standard category room I booked had a proper enclosed bathroom which I prefer. I did not really enjoy the very tiny sink, with an awkward setup with a shelf not far above the sink, making it hard to find space to wash your face. However the shower worked very well. In the room, the air conditioning was strong and the bed was comfy. There are power outlets only on one side of the bed, and the side closest to the wall has only a USB-A outlet. |One of my favorite things about this hotel is the amenity bar in the lobby near the elevators. You can pick up sample size packets of personal products which are unavailable in the rooms, such as facial cleanser, moisturizer, even combs. Inside the rooms they have toothbrush/toothpaste, and shower products like shampoo/conditioner. |This hotel does have breakfast for an extra fee, an onsen (with a congestion meter viewable through the TV in the hotel room), and coin laundry facilities. I didn't try any of those. Also, each floor has a microwave tucked away near the elevators, making heating up cold food very convenient. I definitely used it a couple times for my breakfast from the combini.|Overall there are a few inconveniences about this hotel such as the location and the sink size, however given the very good deal I found through Agoda, this place was still very well...

Read moreThe true star of this hotel is the public onsen. I would highly recommend you try the public onsen if you stay here. Very relaxing. FYI. It’s not open to random people, only hotel guests.
Check in/out: fairly easy process. However, we stayed 3 nights and they asked us upon check in if we needed the room cleaned every day, to which I said no if it’s more environmentally friendly not every day is ok. I did not know that meant not at all… we put a sign on our door which asked for the room to be cleaned, then they put a note saying that since we enrolled in the eco program, our room would not be cleaned. This was poor communication on the staff’s part. Check out was a very easy process.
Location: the location of this hotel is a good 15 min walk from the main transit station. If you don’t mind that, good location otherwise.
The room: bed is not comfortable at all. Really not suitable for side sleepers and very low to the ground. Bathroom was ok. Space was ok. Amenities: this is again where they shine. The onsen was very large and well kept imo. If you’re not comfortable using a gender separated public onsen, I get it, but I would encourage you to try.
Breakfast: not worth it (I think it’s about ¥1700 per person). We gave it a try as pictures looked good. Food was mostly bland and very cafeteria style. They have a lot of American inspiration which might be good for those willing to sacrifice taste for familiarity. Japan doesn’t really do breakfast the way the western world does, it’s just another lunch/dinner. You can get better and cheaper breakfast from the multitude of convenience stores (konbinis) around.
Overall: very meh hotel. Great onsen, meh service, meh room,...
