Just a heads up, all of the 4 and 5 star "reviews" this place has are unpaid/paid fake reviews written to pad the average rating of this "hotel", do not trust any of them.
I took no photos because I was in the room for less than 10 minutes of opening the room door to looking around. We were checked out because of how disgusting the place was, and unsanitary it is.
To preface, this place is a business hotel. So a small room with the basics is expected. This place is the worst business hotel you'll ever find. Go to APA for business hotels, not here. Even love hotels are cleaner than this place.
This place is dirty. Don't let the model room photos fool you (the photos provided by this hotel), as they do not exist other than for the sake of photos. These clean rooms do not exist, those are studio rooms in a remote location furnished to look similar to what they offer/provide.
The hallways leading to the room was a foreshadowing of the horrors yet to be realized. Felt dilapidated, as if I'm walking through an abandoned hospital/asylum or about to enter the backrooms.
The bedsheets were stained, the walls were stained, the "carpet" was stained, there was mildew on the ceiling. The ceiling had a giant chunk of it missing. The wallpaper was peeling off.
The bathroom was in disrepair, there was mold on the ceiling of it (probably because the bathroom fan doesn't work), the headboard of the bed was completely damaged and splintered. If you ran your hand along it it would have cut skin.
We had booked a 5 day stay. They refused a refund when we checked out after 10 minutes of sitting in the room.
It was so bad I did not even consider taking photos. Because we literally opened the door, gasped in horror, used the bathroom because we were coming off a long train ride. Gasped in horror at the bathroom mold. And then immediately tried to get a refund which they refused, as they knew what kind of an establishment they were.
It was so bad I was okay with just paying for a new hotel even though I'm paying "double" due to not getting a refund from this stink hole.
We went to Sakura Garden Hotel, my god that place for the same price. It was a game changer. The distance is a little further from the main center of Osaka/Umeda, but you will love how spacious it is. And how clean it is.
Do not go to this 0-star hotel. Go to Sakura Garden Hotel. I will have a review of that place in a little bit. But it is such a cozy place and the size of the room and bathroom was...
Read moreMy experience here was nice, and it’s very budget-friendly compared with nearby hotels. The location is convenient — it’s easy to walk to both Higashi-Umeda Metro Station and JR Osaka Station.
I recommend booking a “Renovated Room” only for good experience. (They have new & old buildings)
However, there are a few things to note: 1️⃣ Check-in and check-out are done by yourself using an automatic system. Staff will only assist in case of emergency. At first, I couldn’t find my booking number. After talking with the staff, I found out you need to enter your full name and surname together without spaces. If you type only your first or last name, the system won’t find your booking.
2️⃣ If you want to leave your luggage after check-out, there’s a service charge of 500 yen per luggage.
3️⃣ The hotel is surrounded by bars and izakayas, so it can be a bit noisy around 10:00–11:00 PM, but it gets quiet afterward. You can also hear people talking in the hallway sometimes.
4️⃣ The bathtub is quite small. I’m 160 cm tall, and it’s already snug for me.
Overall, it’s a good stay for the price — convenient location, clean, and comfortable enough for...
Read moreOne of the cheapest hotel in Umeda area. Less than 1km from Osaka Umeda station. Although the room is small, it's enough for 2 people. It comes with all basic amenities (shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, bath and face towels, hair blower, small refrigerator, kettle, cups, toothbrush, hair brush, shaver). It has good sound proofing. The beds are clean and firm. We were able to have good rest during our 2 nights there.
The breakfast is well worth it. It has different varieties. The staff, Samara, who receives the guests at the breakfast buffet, welcomed people happily with "good morning" and "enjoy your meal" and bidding people "thank you, goodbye" and "enjoy your day" when people finish their breakfast.
The Chinese speaking reception staff 陳和平, who was very entertaining. She helped call taxi for us and told the taxi driver to drop us off at the Hotel New Henkyu to take the airport limousine bus, although the taxi driver just dropped us at the corner of the hotel, did not drive us all the way to the limousine bus terminal so we had to walk a long way in dragging 2 luggages and carrying...
