We enjoyed our stay at Shimodasou on the Izu Peninsula. This traditional ryokan offers a taste of authentic Japanese hospitality. The peaceful location is perfect for relaxing, and close to a stunning beach but very quite at the tiem we visited.||Our room was very spacious, with tatami floors, priovate toilet near the front door of the room and seperate basin area in the room itself. The rooms themselves had extra adaptors, fans, green tea and sitting areas and everyhting required. ||The hosts spoke very good English and we enjoyed the Onsen facilities. The shared bathroom/shower could be done up but seemd more used for washign sand after being at the beach and then using the lovley onsen facilities which again were spacious.||Would recommend it for a...
