I recently stayed at Guest Living MU Nanki Shirahama and had a delightful experience. 🏖️ The location is fantastic—just a short walk to Shirarahama Beach, making it perfect for beach lovers. The rooms are spacious and clean, offering a comfortable stay with a nice ocean view. 🌊
One of the highlights was the onsen; the natural hot spring bath was relaxing and a great way to unwind after a day of exploring. ♨️ The shared kitchen facilities were well-equipped, allowing guests to prepare their own meals, which is a nice touch for longer stays. 🍳
However, it’s worth noting that some amenities like towels and pajamas are not provided and need to be rented separately. Also, guests are expected to handle tasks like setting up their futons and disposing of trash, which might not suit everyone’s preferences. 🛏️🗑️
Overall, Guest Living MU offers great value, especially for families or groups looking for a relaxed, self-service accommodation near the beach. I’d definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to...
Read morePros: Amazing location with a great view of the ocean from any room. Lots of amenities (fully equipped kitchen, coffee, tea, condiments, tatami shared living space with sea view, lobby lounge with beer and sake offered, laundry room, shower room, onsen bath, etc) Budget friendly option to stay in shared hostel type room with dividers between beds. Complimentary bread, jam, butter, rolls, and egg offered in the mornings.
Cons: The onsen water (on the men’s side as of July 2021) is far too hot. The staff must not be properly monitoring the temperature. There is an old analog temperature gauge floating in the water that says 42°C, but it is most definitely hotter than that by 2 or 3 degrees. As someone who frequents spas and onsens in travel, this was too hot to even enter...
Read moreAmazing stay with the options of condos or hostel-like shared rooms with traditional Japanese futons and paper doors. Very clean and tidy place. Had the honour of being here when the Asian teams for beach flying discus were here for their competition. Made the place a lot more vibrant. There is the onsen which takes away the pressure of only 2 showers in the whole place. Oh and complimentary breakfast is a lot more palatable than many other places I know… and free flow coffee … amazing. Thanks for looking out for me Koni-san and Shin-san… and the others whom I didn’t get...
