Terrible Service! Never Staying Here Again

I stayed at Hoshino Resort KAI Okuhida , and it was the worst experience. We had to leave the hotel next day at 8:00 AM, but the hotel scheduled our breakfast at 8:15 AM, When we expressed our concerns, the front desk rudely replied, “That is your business.” The staff were arrogant and unprofessional.

Their service is unacceptable and can’t not imagine.The staff clearly do not care about their guests’ experience. If you are considering staying here, I strongly advise you to think more and not be fooled by online advertisements.

I can only use my bad experience to remind travellers not to naively think that Japan's Hoshino Group is a high-quality hotel.

I don't think other Hoshino Groups may be as bad as this one.

This New Hoshino Kai deserves better rating! All of the negative impression on earlier negative comments such as low quality food and unfriendly staff were not experienced. The service , food and accommodation are as good as any highly rated Hoshino Kai. This Kai also has a special educational program teaching you to bend the wood by traditional method to make a handle for carrying bag. It also has a gathering place with tea , coffee , books and hot spring foot bath. The only thing needs to improve is the privacy section because anyone can enter the public area without a passkey! Very disappointment with my recent stay. Given the five-star pricing ( JPY 112,300), the overall experience did not meet my expectations.

Several aspects contributed to this sentiment. There was no complimentary bottled water provided in the room, which is a standard amenity in hotels of this caliber. Furthermore, the ingredients used for both breakfast and dinner appeared to be of low quality, which was surprising considering the price point.
