Location was great but facilities were really old. The shower floors looked like they were due for a clean... Quite upset that we werent allowed to park even though its well stated on their website you could park for 500yen before or after you check out. The reason given to us was quite strange - if the car sensors go off they will not be able to manage/ access the car. BUT you can park if you have a sensorless car lol not sure who has a sensorless car. Will not return, seems like there are better facilities nearby

This onsen hotel is nice and clean. They have one indoor and one outdoor onsens for each gender, and 3 private outdoor onsens. 👍🏻 This is a family-run hotel and the family is very thoughtful and friendly. The food is very delicious - I love every single dish in the dinner set! The tempura is the BEST I have ever had. 😋😋 Portion is big!!You get a private dinning room to enjoy your dinner!! Room includes private toilet and sink. Share shower room (separate by gender)I love everything about this hotel!!

We booked one with private onsen and it overlooks lake Biwa. Staff has been very helpful and most spoke English, which was an added benefit.

We had a great time staying at Yumotokan. Our Omi beef Kaiseki dinners and breakfasts are big highlights of our stay. Rooms are also spacious and comfortably heated in late Autumn. We booked one with private onsen and it overlooks lake Biwa. Staff has been very helpful and most spoke English, which was an added benefit.
