Altier Hotel Kii Tanabe — Hotel in Tanabe

Stayed here for 5 nights and the best thing about the hotel was the location. A few minutes away from the station and the new dining / club area.||||The rooms were not large but a reasonable size compared to many we stayed at in Japan. The room was western style with twin beds and also had a balcony which let you look over the town to the sea.||||The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help us. They also seemed to be more aware of their surroundings than many other hotels we stayed at.||||One point that may cause concern for some, is that the rooms are built around an open stairwell. My partner was getting bouts of vertigo when negotiating the short trip from the lift to our room. We were on the top floor.||||There is free parking available but you may have to get in...

Conveniently located on the main street, and only 10 minutes walk from JR Kii-Tanabe railway station. |The hotel is clean, rooms are spacious for a business hotel and quite comfortable. There is air-conditioning but if you wish you can open the windows, which is a big plus as far as I am concerned. Bathrooms are again a bit larger than your average business hotel.|One of the best things about the Altier is its delicious buffet breakfast, which is available in the lobby. There is a good choice of Japanese and Western food. What's not to love about hot food freshly cooked on the spot? |Overall, convenient, comfortable and value for money....
