Horai Sushi — Restaurant in Tanabe

Best place in Tanabe, went for lunch and then dinner. Ingredients sourced locally, mainly planted and harvested by the owners. Ran by an elderly couple. The sushi was amazing, prepared right in fron of you, just the right amount of wasabe, fresh ingredientes... Amazing. Beer pouring skills 20/10, just like the beers back home where each gulp leaves a ring of foam on the inside of the glass. Tempura was excellent, comes with a very nice soup,...

Happened upon Horai Sushi as we were looking for a place for dinner. It's a nice little restaurant run by a lovely couple. I ordered a tempura appetizer and the sushi set meal. The sushi was very fresh and tempura was light and not too oily. Would definitely visit the restaurant again...

A short walk from the Tourist Information Center, this restaurant is opena bit later than most of the restaurants that close at 14:00. They offer incredibly fresh fish caught locally, and they also grow their own vegetables. Quick service, and of course the food...
