I was in shock to see so many bad reviews because for me they plainly and simply helped me plan my whole trip to Kumado Kodo. The bus timetables and overall bus system is rather complicated. The staff lady spoke excellent English and was really kind. If you want to pick the booklet for Kumodo Kodo pilgrimage this is the place for free. Take the map of whole Kumodo Kodo. Like most pilgrims I started from Takijiri. After finishing Kumodo I came next day and needed help with booking of Meiko bus because their website doesn't allow foreigners to register. Other kind staff member helped me out tho it didn't work out since I don't have Japanese. I managed to catch the bus after all. If you are looking for budget option and direct connection to Osaka. I recommend taking Meiko bus for 3500 yen. Rather than changing 4...
Read moreTo the young lady working before the closing of the tourist information on Saturday 15th of February. Please look for another job. The elderly man was very nice and helpful. The place is great to collect information e g. Maps and bus schedules. You can also pay for tickets using credit card because other wise, when paying on the bus be prepared to have exact cash and no change given! You can also break your notes e.g. convert one 10k yen into 1k yen. All in all a great place to get info and be prepared for kumano kudo, just avoid that lady. I don't even get that type of attitude from where...
