i was super stressed out as i saw a lot of crappy reviews for this hotel so frankly i wasn't expecting much. "ac issues, old, dirty" - the list goes on.||HOWEVER i was pleasantly surprised by my stay here. the room was extremely spacious -- we did book a larger room whereas our friend had a much cozier twin room with a fabulous view, it really depends on what you book. ||with regards to cleanliness, we faced no issues. bed linen, towels and pajamas provided were all clean, and room cleaning was done immaculately each day.||with regards to ac, we were initially upset as the room wasn't getting colder. turns out it wasn't automatic and we simply didn't click the switchboard by our bedside, where you could adjust lighting, ac, radio etc. ||with regards to dated design, this hotel definitely has an old school aesthetic, so that part is true. if that isn't your vibe, don't book it. pictures online are exactly what they appear to be irl. ||this hotel is in the sumo district, so they do serve a mixture of (weak) continental breakfast as well as japanese breakfast, including chankonabe, which is a hearty stew eaten by sumo wrestlers. its very tasty and unique -- must try. ||location wise it's fabulous honestly -- the food street by Ryogoku station is just a 6 min walk away, its so near Akihabara and the Tsukiji fish market by subway as well, but in a nice quiet neighborhood. you are also sureounded by combinis (convenience stores). unfortunately this hotel doesn't provide laundry services, but there are plenty of laundromats...

Read moreI am booked for 6 nights, leaving on Feb 24th. Room 2335. The room is huge according to Japanese standards. Double bed, fulll bath, fridge and kettle. There is no in room safe unless it's really hidden 😉. They provide tea only, no coffee. The rooms can be cleaned daily. The views of the city skyline at night is fabulous.. the hotel is not new and the rooms could need a coat of paint and maybe less funiture. The bathroom is from the late 1990...but these are only details. Check in was fast and friendly. The hotel is super easy to get to on the edeo line from the hammatdhucho monorail station and daimon.it was the main reason why I booked this hotel. Easy to get to and from haneda kuko. I only had breakfast once.. not worth the money...choice is under average and other hotels provide better choice. So I mostly do a quick brekkie either in my room if I am bound on n early train for example kamakura or hakone, or I have breakkfast out .. I got a good price on agoda for under $350 for 6 nights so I think value is top notch.. because of breakfast, no coffee and no laundry I only give 3 maybe 4 stars ✨️.. there's a laundry right next to seven eleven so not providing laundry is not a turn down. The dryers are very efficient and it was the first time I didn't have to Re dry my clothes 🙃. It will cost you ¥1,200 for a 8 kilo load, which is fair. No need to bring detergent, the...
