Snow Freak Sunrise — Hotel in Yamagata

The hotel staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making your stay feel warm and accommodating. They offer a convenient pick-up service from the bus terminal and are happy to drive you wherever you need to go—be it a convenience store, a slope, or anywhere around the city. All communication was handled using Google Translate, and we only have positive things to say about our experience.

Although the hotel itself may appear a bit old, the rooms are clean, cozy, and dust-free. The hotel is located right in front of a slope, and within a 2-minute walk, there’s an amazing Korean restaurant.

While you can’t buy a ski pass directly at the hotel, there’s a convenient workaround: from the hotel’s slope, you can ski or snowboard for free down to the Uwanodai slope, where ski passes are available for purchase.
