I have mix feeling of this place. We drove allllll the way here in the blizzard to try learning and buy Yamagata Sake but they don’t have much for sale and they had no intention to explain anything to us even tho it’s supposed to be a “sake museum.” However the grandpa working there was very much of “tsundere” (if you know what I mean) so it might be fun to try to communicate with him. At the end I got one bottle home for myself. The good thing abt this place is that they accept all sorts of payment including credit card, IC and such. Fun place to visit.

Got the ticket for free sake tasting, was really worth it. We even bought a bottle of sake and another round of sake tasting. However, elderly man seems a bit not in the mood to serve, he didn't greet us upon entry and was hitting the sake bottles on the bottle infront of us. Worth coming here for a visit since there is not much to do at Zao apart from winter sports, food, onsen and sightseeing.

The museum has a great ambience and a guide / owner who provides interesting facts about various sake from the region. You can also pick a course from the choices available, buy one for home as souvenir

Super nice place, we ordered two combo and they also give us two shots for free that was just delivered! Ordered one soba got some pears as deserts! Super nice people! Recommended!

宿泊施設近くにあったので、お邪魔しました。宿泊施設に、試飲無料チケットもあるので、取りまりに行く際は、お得かもしれません。今回、日曜日14:30頃にお邪魔しましたが、3組を程ご利用しており、17:00から食事処も利用出来るようでした。店内は、色々なお酒が展示され、日本酒好きには心躍る場所かと思います。 各種、展示されている日本酒の試飲が可能ですが、買物として持ち帰るお店ではありません。試飲は1杯300〜500円、飲み比べメニュー等もあります。また、お塩が無料で用意されているので、日本酒と塩だけでも問題ない方なら、この上無いかとしれません。無料試飲チケットは4種から選べした。日本酒は、バリエーション豊富なので、楽しめる施設かと思います。日本酒好きな方なら、楽しめるので、宿泊する際にご利用すると、尚更良いかと感じました☆

Cuando llegamos estaba vacío y solo había una persona para atendernos. No nos explicó absolutamente algo sobre el Sake, no quiso salir de la barra, sentimos que incluso no nos quería ahí. Al enseñar el ticket de cortesía mostró descontento lo cual fue incómodo para nosotros. El lugar es bonito y sin duda con una mejor atención la experiencia sería diferente.
