Definitely a 5 star traditional Japanese Ramen/noodle shop. The old couple owners are very friendly. The shop itself is pretty small and cosy. There are four or five tables accommodating around 16 people at any one time.
We tried to order the bigger size of Ramen and the owner told me that my wife and kids would not be able to finish, so recommended the normal size to all of us. And we realized that the normal size is actually huge. So if you are not a big eater and not super hungry, the normal size will be enough.
As to the taste, we ordered one item each on the menu, and all of them are super delicious. The soup is especially tasty and flavorful.
With most items being only around 700 - 800 Yen, it is so budget friendly and hard to find a place like this nearby. Highly recommend this place for whoever is visiting this Zao Onsen area. Owners speak some English as well but it's always good to prepare some basic Japanese conversations and vocabulary as a visitor to show our respect and appreciation to their...
Read morePlace was a part home part business and pretty busy. Unbelievable massive portions with tonnes of vegetables. Took the miso ramen that canned with char siu. The odd things was the table had vinegar and chilli sauce but they didn't serve gyouza. Great value for money and friendly...

The place is small, it gets full really easily so you might have to wait outside. In winter season is not the best but it’s worth it. I...
