The hotel is cheap and basic, it’s passable if you are visiting for a short stay or on a low budget. The whole place is dated and old. The room also wasn’t that clean, it didn’t look like the rug had been hoovered from the last people. The shower curtain was too short so the bathroom floor flooded every time you use it. The air con wasn’t working properly, it kept dripping water and ice on my head all night and then made a horrendous noise as the fan outside was hitting against something. Comfort and sleep quality were terrible.|They did an airport pickup good and the staff are helpful and friendly.|Breakfast was laughable, just a few bits of cucumber and tomato on a plate with two hard boiled eggs, much better to get your own, lots of places nearby offer better for cheaper. The only good thing is the location which is excellent, very close to shops and the citadel, forum and Jordan museum.|They also offered tours but the prices are per car and at the time we visited they struggled to get a full car. They aren’t really tours, just a taxi to take you to all the places listed so you get no info, no food. The tour to Petra (there are two options) we ended up getting the one we didn’t ask for and the driver still expected a tip at the end. |We made the mistake of staying here because we knew it did tours (listed on the website). The reality is almost all Amman hotels will run tours or put you in touch with someone who does, if even they aren’t advertised. |I wouldn’t recommend staying here. We were due to return after visiting Petra for a second stay but cancelled and stayed somewhere else nearby that was much cheaper, much nicer, and did much...

Read moreFarah Hotel is ideally located downtown and near the citadel and Roman Amphitheater, as well as markets and where everyone seem to congregate on Friday night . I loved both receptionists who were so helpful with everything I asked them. Their info was always right on target and significantly help my getting around and find the best places to eat, what taxi or shared taxis, to help organize us in groups for day tours. I did two of them during my stay with fellow travelers. I met several great people.|The accommodations were good for me. I had an en-suite single room with double bed. Everything is outdated but all functioning. Cleanliness could have been better. I was on the sixth floor and I appreciated the...
