Very nice traditional Jordanian food at a reasonable price!
This place certainly serves nice food at very good prices. The amount is usually too much, we weren't able to finish it all, but it seems to be the norm to serve big portions in this country.
If you are looking for a nice place, this is not the place too go. The ambience is not that great, that comes down to the tired looking place and the staff. The staff is very friendly, but they just get the job done. The plates are plastic too, so it is definitely not classy.
But if you are looking past that, it is certainly very authentic food, as you will most likely be the only foreigner in there at a time. They are certainly not very used to foreigners, but they treated us absolutely fine and were even making little jokes, despite their not so good English. I think the language barrier is mostly the biggest hurdle for people which is...
Read moreI am only giving them 1 star because I cannot give them 0 stars, the maqluba was ice cold, my first bite and the rice was cold, I wanted it to be changed, but I was already so annoyed, they have so many employees but they take years to come and take your note so you're left wondering should I go somewhere else? But you try to be patient, so I said okay just give me hummus instead and my friend ordered the chicken and fries (I even made fun of my friend for ordering that) little I knew that would be the only tasty dish. The hummus was worst than in Spain but I was so hungry at that point that I ate it with bread. My hotel's hummus is more tasty than that, if you want nice hummus go to hasheem instead. I wasn't the only one annoyed because there was a woman also complaining in arabic about the slow service. Save your money and don't come here, go to hasheem or jabri . There are places...

I don’t eat meat but I wanted to bring some tourists here to try the national Jordanian dish. I had their plain rice with mixed vegetables. It was good but found out they used ghee on it. There is an English menu but prices are not as low as some other restaurants in the area.
They served pickles, pickled olives and fresh green chillies, and kmaj bread to complement anything one orders. They place a paper placemat too.
It took a bit (but not too long) time to catch the attention of one of their several staff taking orders. So customer service is not amazing but not too bad.
When I went, there were more foreigners dining there...
