The place didn’t feel comfortable—not because it’s old, since many older spots can be charming—but this one just gave off an unclean vibe, even if it wasn’t actually dirty. The food was disappointing; for example, the fries tasted like they had been re-fried multiple times and were overly greasy. Overall, the flavors lacked even the most basic quality standards. I couldn’t enjoy my meal while constantly questioning the cleanliness of the place and imagining what the kitchen must be like.

The staff were polite and professional—I have no complaints about their attitude.

That said, this was definitely my first and last visit. I really hope the owners consider renovating and raising their standards, especially since the prices are high enough to justify a better...

A well known place for seafood in downtown Amman. You go in through an alley in one of Amman's oldest districts to be greeted with an icy display of fish in a small space. You can order there as a take away or go to the upper floor where there's a seating area.

Nothing luxurious, but its clean and well ventilated. The food is about what you expect and the price range is also within the expected range. Alcohol is also served there.

The service might take a while especially if you go on a weekend. The furniture is cheap, tables and chairs are more practical than fancy. Toilets are clean but old, a bit smelly but it's what you expect at a seafood restaurant.

You go for the experience, best for...

I had such a lovely dining experience at sara Restaurant! The seafood was bursting with flavor — especially the shrimp, which was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. The cleanliness of the place really stood out; everything was spotless and well-maintained. The staff were warm, courteous, and made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we walked in. Portions were generous, and the prices were incredibly fair for the quality of food and service. Even now, I can’t stop thinking about the flavors — truly memorable! I’ll definitely be recommending this place to friends and...

This is one of the iconic seafood restaurant in Amman. They offer a good selection of salads, local dishes and they recently introduced Sushi, which is okay for being not freshly made. Nothing special though. Saiadieh and creamy soup are great though and worth trying out. Their atmosphere is great and so Ammany as its located in the heart of downtown with a charming balcony looking at Hashim restaurant. If you craving seafood then might be a good option for you. Unfortunately, this is not an accessible place to dine, there is an elevator but still you have to take 4 steps to get up there.

They have two floors for people with table reservations with indoor and outdoor seating, and I think the second floor is relatively new and you can tell, but sadly the bathroom wasn't clean at all and there are no signs at the entrance. There is also no designated space for prayer. We had to pre-oder our meal for it to be served on time. Now the food was good and the service too. I enjoyed the roasted fish the most. Prices are what you would expect to pay at a seafood restaurant. Overall it was a nice experience.
