A Heartfelt Thank You to Gigiri Lion Villas – The Perfect 31st Birthday Experience!
Good afternoon, Team Gigiri Lion Villas,
First and foremost, please accept my apologies for taking two weeks to write this review—it has taken me this long because I wanted to find the perfect words to express just how grateful I am. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for making my 31st birthday celebration nothing short of magical.
From the very beginning, the experience was seamless and filled with kindness. Sheldon, thank you for handling the initial booking so smoothly. Then came the lovely Mary, who took the time to walk me through the venue in such a thoughtful and detailed manner. She made me feel so welcome and excited. I also deeply appreciated the kind lady from Gigiri Lion Villas 1 who joined in the tour and helped me make my decision so effortlessly—your team spirit and hospitality truly stood out.
Special thanks to Chelsea—what a gem! She ensured all our orders were correct, stayed with us throughout the night with such grace and attentiveness, and handled all the billing with precision. Even when I accidentally overpaid, she and Abdul immediately spotted the error and informed me. That level of honesty and integrity is so rare and deeply appreciated.
Now let us talk about the setup—oh my goodness! When Mary revealed it to me on the day of the party, I was completely speechless. It was beyond beautiful. Every single detail exceeded my expectations and truly captured the vision I had in mind. You brought it to life in ways I couldn’t have imagined.
Compliments to the Chef—the food was phenomenal! Each dish was a hit, the portions were generous, and the flavors were perfect. The juice, the tea, everything was delicious. My family and friends couldn’t stop raving about it. It was an absolute feast, and we felt so well taken care of.
From the beautiful décor, the warm service, the thoughtfully provided speaker, to the heaters that came out later in the evening to keep us cozy—it was all done with such love and attention to detail. You made us feel at home, and that is a feeling that can’t be bought.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I will absolutely be back again and again. You now have a very loyal guest who will be recommending you to everyone I know.
Asanteni sana sana, and see you soon!
With all my love and...
Read moreI recently spent a full week at Gigiri Lion Villas, and I can confidently say it's one of the most peaceful and well-located places I’ve stayed in Nairobi.||As someone who has worked closely with the hospitality industry, I don’t say this lightly: the environment here is ideal for U.N. staff, embassy personnel, and business professionals who value privacy, comfort, and proximity to the Gigiri area.||The hotel is just minutes away from the UN headquarters and key diplomatic offices, and they even offer complimentary car transfers within Gigiri, which is a thoughtful touch — especially for guests attending meetings or conferences.||During my stay, I appreciated the well-kept pool, gym, and sauna — a solid way to recharge after a long workday. The WiFi was fast and reliable, and the rooms were quiet, clean, and professionally maintained.||I wasn’t just passing through — I actually lived and worked from the hotel for that week. The staff were respectful, discreet, and professional. I felt supported but never crowded, which is rare in Nairobi hospitality.||If you're looking for a serene, executive-level stay in Gigiri — not flashy, just calm, clean, and well-run — this...

I really loved the place. The rooms were great and the housekeeping service were A1. Their amenities are easily accessible, however, the pool is in the restaurant area which makes it non-private which didn't feel quite right for me.
The food was really great too. However, there was a lag between ordering and plate service. This is probably because on that particular day, it was full house. The staff were pretty friendly so it made the delay sting less.
One thing to warn you about though is there's limited parking space and if you get there late enough, you'll probably have to park outside the gate. However, it's at the heart of gigiri so again, very secure. Another saving grace is they provide valet parking therefore allowing double parking without distractions from one's date.
Lastly, I really loved the ambience of the place. It does a great job of doubling between a café and a fine...
